Yes

2019-11-18 23:51:17 UTC

Bombs do that, incendiary bombs are very powerful.

2019-11-18 23:51:18 UTC

bombers that would've needed to carry more than twice their maximum loads to hit the total given

2019-11-18 23:51:21 UTC

no look

2019-11-18 23:51:27 UTC

thermite burns at 4000 degrees fahrenheit

2019-11-18 23:51:37 UTC

the average cremator burns at 2000 degrees fahrenheit

2019-11-18 23:51:44 UTC

it takes a cremator several hours to burn a body

2019-11-18 23:51:46 UTC

in an isolated space

2019-11-18 23:51:49 UTC

with heat on all sides

2019-11-18 23:51:57 UTC

a bomb in open air burning for 30 seconds cannot char a body

2019-11-18 23:52:24 UTC

twice the temperature does not give you an over ten fold increase in speed

2019-11-18 23:53:21 UTC

bruh..

2019-11-18 23:54:52 UTC

But you're ignoring that a crematorium takes time to reach its maximum temperature, this is literally a chemical explosion.

Also, there's no way the krauts could've pulled off a hoax this big. Immediately after war? Being humiliated on the world stage? Their expatriates locked up in POW camps? Even today, mentioning Dresden or having anti-interventionist views regarding WW2 is regarded as soft Nazi apologia.

2019-11-18 23:55:10 UTC

the soviets completely covered the area afterwards and they were the soviets

2019-11-18 23:55:36 UTC

in fact, the east germans played a major role in inflating the death toll

2019-11-18 23:56:31 UTC

look if you can accept that the holocaust was fake then how is a single city completely infeasible to you

2019-11-18 23:56:58 UTC

Because, again, krauts literally didn't have the influence to propagate such a myth.

2019-11-18 23:57:18 UTC

it would've looked very good for the soviets post-war if they could spin the firebombing into the evils of the west

2019-11-18 23:57:42 UTC

and the soviets were no strangers to editing the truth

2019-11-18 23:58:13 UTC

they kept the afloat the myth of hitler being alive, when they had his teeth all the time

2019-11-18 23:58:32 UTC

I can imagine stalin telling his advisors "twenty thousand? I'll see you half a million! They used a thousand bombers! Who cares how impossible it sounds?"

2019-11-18 23:59:01 UTC

You think Soviets would've felt sympathy for the Nazis they were told to hate the entire war? It was much easier to tout the famine in India or the lynching in the US as an example of evils of the West.

2019-11-18 23:59:26 UTC

How many media companies were owned by krauts post-WW2? Meanwhile, Jews are building their own nation, and are desperate for foreign military aid, they had every reason to propagate the myth, and the means.

2019-11-18 23:59:35 UTC

I'm not gonna step right out and say that stalin and the soviets directly were in charge

2019-11-18 23:59:43 UTC

but the east germans most likely clamped down on the myth

2019-11-19 00:00:09 UTC

with some aid from soviet intelligence to spin it into a convincing little story about how the west flattened a city

2019-11-19 00:00:45 UTC

and boy oh boy did they get gibs out of it

2019-11-19 00:00:54 UTC

there was one church in dresden that cost 180 million euro to repair

2019-11-19 00:00:59 UTC

Hardly. East Germans were basically told to pretend they weren't German, just part of the Soviet Union. The USSR didn't want them to think they were another Socialist country like Yugoslavia, just part of the Union. Invoking Dresden would encourage nationalist fervor, and weaken the influence of the USSR over Germany.

2019-11-19 00:01:11 UTC

they did it all up in gold and put in a massive organ

2019-11-19 00:01:21 UTC

all to pay for the alleged bombing

2019-11-19 00:01:29 UTC

give us your gold, anglo

2019-11-19 00:03:54 UTC

Why would East Germany propagate the myth and demand money for destroyed churches? Would seem rather uncharacteristic of them to ask for money to repair churches, considering the USSR's atheism.

2019-11-19 00:05:00 UTC

money and pity, mostly

2019-11-19 00:05:26 UTC

To rebuild churches and famous landmarks that invoke pre-Soviet Germany?

2019-11-19 00:07:27 UTC

I don't think anybody wanted to pity the Germans, and if you asked any Englishmen if they felt bad about Dresden, they'd probably say it's payback for the bombs they dropped on us.

I could've been sentimentality that drove the bombings, or more likely, a form of shock and awe, to convince the few Germans still fighting to surrender.

@hey.free. wifi Wouldn't've happened without allied support, either. The Union sucked, and without our significant military aid in the form of weapons and vehicles, and attacking Germany from another front, they would've fallen to the Germans and the Japs.
