I mean its alright. We definitely need something within the church I believe that will reach out to the youth but it won't come off as Protestant but as traditional. We need to give the youth something that is kind of more readable or something for them to watch that explains the traditional Catholicism that are great-grandparents Grew up on and not the boomer generation. That book seems like it could be because it's from Pope Benedict who was all right I suppose he he left before I even came into the church or thought about becoming more Christian in my life. I believe that it is the time for the church and for little movements like ours to focus on the youth so that we can have a more traditional future within the church. But there has to be that balance so that you don't make the church Seymour Protestant Mike with all these weird new Mass Ideas that they have.
I'm driving and speaking to my phone so if my wording is off forgive me.
My problem with it is that usually ‘youth’ books are completely dumbed down, sometimes to the point where it’s all about God’s love and it never mentions one’s responsibilities at all
Gotta appeal to the YOUNG PEOPLE
Guys, we gotta have guitar mass
tfw my parish priest says adults are always wrong and appeals for teens not to listen to them
It appeals to the youth
aaay
G u i t a r m a s s
Ew
Die
So yeah, I assume that book is basically a meme
Anathema
How dare you deny us guitar mass
When I went on my trip to California with my girlfriend we walked into a church down there and the first thing we noticed was the wooden seats, no kneelers, and a band up front. I looked at her and said nope let's get the frick out of here
rip
Yeah, not sure why people scream home about it.
Never heard of it
I just purchased a simple scapular at my parish, now what?
@LuxCo talk to the priest
ah okay
I wished I had never looked over the scapular
@LuxCo So basically now, you will have talks with the priest and be enrolled into it.
I haven’t been enrolled into mine
@Supreme Glory thanks boss
I just realized how important the brown scapular thanks
Anyone got an answer for this
We don’t judge in the same way pharisees judged, for our judgement is usually one based on what we know offends God, say, a faggot, we’re already judging him without knowing what turned him gay but it doesn’t mean we don’t have compassion, our judgement simply tells us that he has experienced such spiritual negligence that he has given in to the passions and that we should proceed with caution
What the gospels warn us about judging is when you feel superior and lack the humility to recognize that you could be in error, not being able to see beyond yourself
I like this explanation 👌🏻
Rebuke =! Judgement
first, we are called to rebuke. It is a --duty--. Second, the verses that talk about "judging others" only tell you to not to be a hypocrite. I wonder if the people who like to quote Matthew also quote John 7:24
**John 7:24 - English Standard Version (ESV)**
```Dust
<24> Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."```
Is it a sin if I steal something that would be going into the garbage
Was it already in the garbage?
Or just destined?
