Conservatives are the kind of people who don't really seek to go back to Tradition so much as preserving the terrible decisions that were previously made.

One of the worst case scenarios is the conservatives become the majority in the Vatican and start bringing back the old punitive measures like excommunications and then impune the Trads for doing such as doing an old rite Triduum at Easter.
