however, the effects of your sins are not

2019-04-28 06:05:05 UTC

Even my repeated "impure" offenses?

2019-04-28 06:05:14 UTC

masturbation?

2019-04-28 06:05:22 UTC

yup

2019-04-28 06:05:28 UTC

if you are truly repentant at the time of confession, yes

2019-04-28 06:05:32 UTC

2019-04-28 06:05:38 UTC

ah understood.

2019-04-28 06:06:48 UTC

so, the effects of your sins are like: say you killed someone (I know its an extreme example), you can be forgiven totally and all guilt is gone from your soul, but somewhere there is still a family without a dad whose gonna be affected by what you've done forever and you still need to account for that

2019-04-28 06:07:22 UTC

true

2019-04-28 06:07:44 UTC

Pretty sure that regarding masturbation it's self harm though

2019-04-28 06:07:45 UTC

Oh okay right right

2019-04-28 06:07:58 UTC

that made alot of sense thanks

2019-04-28 06:08:02 UTC

usually this is partly what we undergo in Purgatory, its burning away the effects of sin on our souls that we didn't quite detach from even though we repented, but also making reparation/suffering the consequences of our effects

2019-04-28 06:08:04 UTC

but

2019-04-28 06:08:33 UTC

since the Church has the authority to bind and to loose, under special circumstances we can get indulgences which relieve us from this

2019-04-28 06:09:00 UTC

so essentially, if you obtain a plenary indulgence, until you commit another sin, you will not go through purgatory if you die

2019-04-28 06:09:52 UTC

the conditions are, you must be in a state of grace, receive communion on that day, go to confession within 8 days before or after, pray for the Pope's intentions and do whatever action the specific indulgence states

2019-04-28 06:10:38 UTC

so for example, this Sunday you pray the prayers associated with the Divine Mercy devotion (chaplet etc) or pray an Our Father, Creed and a devout prayer trusting in Jesus' mercy in front of the tabernacle

2019-04-28 06:11:04 UTC

oh and complete detachment from affection to sin

2019-04-28 06:11:15 UTC

which is probably the hardest one to do

2019-04-28 06:12:40 UTC

okay i see now

2019-04-28 06:13:44 UTC

thank you for clearing that up

2019-04-28 06:28:33 UTC

this may sound like a stupid question, cause earlier the enemies of the church were brought up, how is freemasonry an enemy to God's Holy Church?

2019-04-28 06:31:45 UTC

Theres a million different reasons but the essential point as that they are Jews, but not as we have come to identify them. They act in accordance with Jewish principles and are run, and organised by, Jews. They follow Jewish rituals and subvert in accordance with Jewish doctrine

2019-04-28 06:33:48 UTC

Its Jewish ritualism cloaked in gnosticism so the goys can get involved too

Higher members are also probably invoked with the Occult

2019-04-28 09:00:51 UTC

And Mary revealed to one of the saints that freemasons aren’t exactly greeted by the angels of God when they die.

2019-04-28 09:12:49 UTC

gonna be honest, was interested in the masons in the past

2019-04-28 09:12:55 UTC

but if thats the case then idk

2019-04-28 09:13:36 UTC

as a kid I was intrigued because I knew nothing about them and they seemed like some sort of edgy secret society

2019-04-28 09:13:53 UTC

but even my boomeresque catholic mum knew they were evil

2019-04-28 09:14:38 UTC

id been told by people they're basically a club of rich people who help each other with stuff

2019-04-28 13:56:16 UTC

^

2019-04-28 13:56:26 UTC

Depends basically where and who they are.

2019-04-28 13:57:13 UTC

The Apollo lodge in Wales is essentially a bunch of rich Oxbridge Graduations who wear silly hoods and cloaks over their dinner jackets and drink copious amounts of Gin.

2019-04-28 13:57:49 UTC

But then, they still ascribe to the same organisation, so fiery pits for those eccentric drunkards, too.

2019-04-28 18:21:52 UTC

Most of the low levels are harmless and don’t know what’s going on tbh

2019-04-28 18:22:04 UTC

It’s the high levels that are the problem

2019-04-28 18:22:18 UTC

But all the same, you shouldn’t join the Masons regardless
