If you wanna pray in Latin, do it in private. But if you are the one praying, and others can't understand you, then it literally doesn't matter because the masses aren't in harmony with the prayer.

2019-05-19 17:29:40 UTC

Fourth it teaches people that the mass is not for them, and their convenience

2019-05-19 17:29:43 UTC

So, teach Latin in school

2019-05-19 17:29:43 UTC

novus ordo masses have no harmony whatsoever lmao

2019-05-19 17:29:54 UTC

@Iakovos seminaries teach greek and latin lmao

>not doing Aramaic Communion

2019-05-19 17:30:05 UTC

Because it is a liturgical abuse. When seeking reverence we ought to not to touch the eucharist if we are not consecrated to do so

2019-05-19 17:30:11 UTC

aramaic is a rite

2019-05-19 17:30:14 UTC

it's ok too

2019-05-19 17:30:23 UTC

Someone may say

2019-05-19 17:30:33 UTC

>ooga booga but the apostles did it!

2019-05-19 17:30:40 UTC

Lol

2019-05-19 17:30:43 UTC

Because they were apostles, so I would say that counts as consecrated

2019-05-19 17:30:52 UTC

Not to mention they were having an actual dinner etc

2019-05-19 17:31:07 UTC

So considering these things

2019-05-19 17:31:09 UTC

It is no surprise

Look. As a Catholic just starting out, I would prefer English prayer so I can understand what is going on.

2019-05-19 17:31:37 UTC

That the removal of these two things is perfectly correlated with the greatest age of moral filth, liturgical abuse, and pathetic state of the Church

2019-05-19 17:31:52 UTC

>roman missals are translated

2019-05-19 17:32:09 UTC

I want to be in harmony with prayer

2019-05-19 17:32:12 UTC

@Iakovos You prefer it in short term, but in long term it is better. One can also use a misal, and the homily is always in the vernacular tongue

2019-05-19 17:32:23 UTC

I would give everything to have a Latin rite Parish

2019-05-19 17:32:25 UTC

I would also argue

2019-05-19 17:32:29 UTC

I WANT TO HE IN HARMONY WITH PRAYER UNTIL I LEARN LATIN REEEEE

2019-05-19 17:32:30 UTC

Missals are lit

2019-05-19 17:32:49 UTC

silence and get your mantilla

2019-05-19 17:32:52 UTC

I'm good with the current.

2019-05-19 17:32:56 UTC

That in a latin mass, the mere fact that you have to talk a foreign language makes people be more aware of what they say

2019-05-19 17:32:58 UTC

Idk what a mantilla is

2019-05-19 17:33:01 UTC

Instead of entering auto mode

2019-05-19 17:33:13 UTC

Wel

2019-05-19 17:33:20 UTC

f e m o i d

2019-05-19 17:33:46 UTC

Damn

2019-05-19 17:33:50 UTC

woah don't insult my nigga

2019-05-19 17:34:42 UTC

I need to learn Latin. I'm not saying we shouldn't do Latin mass. But for those just coming into the Church I would like for it to be English. Mass nearly brought me to tears, and I was shocked to see people want to leave so early rather than fellowship with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

2019-05-19 17:34:46 UTC

ok

2019-05-19 17:34:58 UTC

@Deleted User yeah i have a problem with that
