@Dasick post physique, goober.

2020-01-11 11:49:26 UTC

Lifting sharpens your mind and body. Makes you a more capable man. Defense from others isn't the only responsibility of a husband and father. How do you propose to accomplish life's tasks of you're not strong?

2020-01-11 12:06:03 UTC

Pretty sure lifting is just cope for men failing at their duty to establish a family

2020-01-11 12:35:01 UTC

Why can't we have both

2020-01-11 13:10:18 UTC

Pretty sure my wife and son would disagree. @SUPER MALE VITALITY™

2020-01-11 13:22:43 UTC

My dad was a bodybuilder. He basically stopped lifting after he started supporting the family. He picked back up a few spurts over the years, but every time he ended up either neglecting his work or neglecting the family. Every guy I grew up with who's into lifting has no serious prospects with women. I've yet to meet a gym rat who balances it with a normal job and a proper family without failing at at least one of those things.

2020-01-11 13:24:28 UTC

It's fine if you're a single dude or you own a gym or something I guess, but it's just placeholder busywork until you have a kid to be there for.

2020-01-11 13:49:18 UTC

Replace lifting with physical exercise and we agree

2020-01-11 13:49:41 UTC

I dont need to waste time going to the gym
I have a floor

2020-01-11 16:08:11 UTC

@SUPER MALE VITALITY™ nonsense. I go at 6am 4 days a week to get my sessions in before my wife and son are even awake. I then go to work, back home for 5:30 and have the whole night to spend with them.

@SUPER MALE VITALITY™ like @Conan Cucksbane I am a husband and a father of two. I work 49-55 hours a week and I lift four times a week. I go to the gym after I've put my children to bed. None of these are suffering for the other, though of course I'd like to spend more time at home than at the factory.

2020-01-11 21:55:21 UTC

There is no excuse not to lift.

2020-01-11 21:55:33 UTC

Coming for Compline prayers, Darr?

2020-01-11 21:56:06 UTC

Oh! When is that brother? I'm all dressed up to head out to TLM in 30 minutes.

2020-01-11 21:56:22 UTC

Right now; not to worry if you're busy.

2020-01-11 21:56:54 UTC

I'll hope to catch the next one. Its almost midday Sunday here.

2020-01-11 21:57:22 UTC

I wish that was me

2020-01-11 21:57:33 UTC

I'm not allowed to drive to my local Latin mass :c

2020-01-11 21:57:40 UTC

Husband says it's too far

2020-01-11 21:57:48 UTC

I mean, I guess you can make lifting work with a family if you don't take on any commitments to your community or have any other hobbies

2020-01-11 21:58:21 UTC

Dude, lifting IS your hobby
