For an accurate/Catholic translation I would use the Douay-Rheims or the RSV-2CE Bible. I have never picked up an NRSV myself, the reason for that being that it in fact has "inclusive language" in it that can make people easily confused.

For example:

Matthew 4:19 RSV

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

NRSV

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.”

**Matthew 4:19 - Revised Standard Version (RSV)**

```Dust
<19> And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." ```
You can find either bible online for free, at least the Douay-Rheims for sure.
Douay-Rheims and ESV are basically the approved translations here afaik, ESV being for the protties. I prefer it personally, good balance of readability and accuracy, but it lacks the apocrypha
Today's quote
2019-06-16 08:02:09 UTC
"People who are afraid of death, and love this empty life are even frightened of germs, so it’s to be expected that they’ll forever be overcome by cowardice, which keeps them permanently in this state of spiritual rigor mortis."
Saint Païsios the Athonite
Wording is choppy, but it gets the message across
Memento Mori is meant to be a comforting idea, only the lost see anything in death but better things. There is no use for longer lifespans if the lives lived in them are not worthy of the eternity that awaits.
except correcting them, of course
