Ezekiel 23:20

**Ezekiel 23:20 - New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)**

```Dust
<20> and lusted after her paramours there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose emission was like that of stallions. ```
@Daniil Thank you for assisting me to use this app add on.
No problem
Trying to understand this part in scripture but my guess is the writer is trying to compare the sin of idolatry with adultery? That’s what I’m gathering anyway. Context: atheist cringe friend sent me certain things to refute or give reasoning for within scripture. This was obviously the first chapter he had to bring up lmao
Specifically speaking, Ezekiel is referring to Egyptian men
2019-06-19 06:10:53 UTC
Just tell fedoras to, instead of desperately looking for retarded blogs that will validate their nonsense, study the gospels and fathers of the Church, which he obviously knows nothing about
2019-06-19 06:11:24 UTC
And when he isn't a complete retard when it comes to christianity, theology and metaphysics, he can argue about whatever exegesis
2019-06-19 07:08:52 UTC
The whole book of Ezekiel is about God's displeasure with the "adulterous" state of Israel, who lusted after other gods and their own passions. He makes Ezekiel marry a disloyal woman, which was culturally than an even greater shame than it is now, one that would have been easy grounds to have her stoned, so that Ezekiel could better understand the heart of God for his people, and speak to Israel from a place of understanding
Romans 6:1-5
2019-06-20 23:10:56 UTC
**Romans 6:1-5 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**
```Dust
Dying and Rising with Christ

<1> What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound? <2> By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it? <3> Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? <4> Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. <5> For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. ```
