I mean, I love her as a sister but there's a reason I skipped over her to her sister lmao, don't need no Leahs in my life
She and him beat the shit out of each other for fun, she's higher strung than a stoned harp
As much as one needs to respect the wishes of the father, she's not bound by him really. If she's going to be miserable then yea it won't be good. If they were already married I'd take another stance and say it's her duty to make him a better, more openly devout person
But they're not
And she's not obligated to do anything currently
Well, the only obligation she has is to be honest with herself and her partner
Something I love about the one I got, after a lot of heat early in the relationship we figured out how to talk to each other, but the older one's got too much pride to be open and honest with him
I wish I could just be an intermediary to keep it from getting ugly like it will be when it blows up and goes to shit
sounds like both need to change a bit
The fun of being an outside observer I suppose
It won't be fun since she's going to be your family
I'll get her to suck it up and talk to me someday, I just hope it's before she makes the wrong choice
whatever that is
That would be a good start, yes
Bright side, least she's nutty about something that matters

```Dust
<20> For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. <21> Then came Peter unto him and said: Lord, how often shall my brother offend against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? <22> Jesus saith to him: I say not to thee, till seven times; but till seventy times seven times. <23> Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened to a king, who would take an account of his servants. <24> And when he had begun to take the account, one was brought to him, that owed him ten thousand talents. <25> And as he had not wherewith to pay it, his lord commanded that he should be sold, and his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. <26> But that servant falling down, besought him, saying: Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. <27> And the lord of that servant being moved with pity, let him go and forgave him the debt. ```
So how do you tell the difference between a true trad girl and a gold digger? My confusion comes because trad girls who want to be homemakers do need to be concerned with if the man they're courting can support them, but that can result in very similar behaviors to women who wring men for everything they're worth.
Gold diggers go after men with money
Yes, for rent
and food
and electricity
Yeah no
and tithing
You aren't rich
Obvious is obvious
You'll probably be fine
You know, I thought that but she heard "Studying engineering", drained me like a vampire, and left me to rot
Ooft
Women
She looked like a trad, said she wanted kids and attended Latin mass wearing a veil, but ditched me as soon as I couldn't afford to take her on dates
So how do I avoid that happening again?
Discern the Priesthood
That seems like a leap
Yeah dude, be wary of women
Just because she trad doesn't mean she good y'know?
I'm guessing the presence of vanity should be the indicator. If she's vain and prideful she's doing it for herself, humble and meek she's doing it for her children.
Good thinking
Also always go poor for a period of time earlyish in the relationship. Was a comfort to know my girl would stick with me after my last job left me broke for lack of work. Even if she does enjoy designer shit like a basic white girl, I at least know it's a hobby and she's willing to give shit up to drag me me through to the next paycheck if need be. Even if you have to fake being poor, it's a worth experience.
