Yeah

2019-07-13 07:29:28 UTC

Salvation is definitely more important than getting the girls

2019-07-13 07:30:33 UTC

And it's something to remember, thanks to God women are not really fierce in any posture, if they have a couple they will usually accept anything their couple does or says.

2019-07-13 07:31:01 UTC

So to convert them it's not really that hard, but it's a thing of time, if one is interested in a healthy relationship at least.

2019-07-13 07:31:14 UTC

Because it's either you change her or she changes you lol.

2019-07-13 07:37:02 UTC

Yeah, I think you got my point too

I don't know what show that is but I'm betting it's reversed in the original context

2019-07-13 09:55:05 UTC

Dr. Who, honestly that show had a lot of wasted potential, for the low early budget there were some interesting stories in there, but naturally BBC had to run it into the ground because BBC (and the advent of teen girl "fandom")

2019-07-13 13:14:02 UTC

Dr. Who has always been lefty tripe. It's just that what constitutes as lefty tripe has changed over the years.

2019-07-13 13:14:10 UTC

Same with Star Trek, tbh

2019-07-13 14:04:46 UTC

there was a point in society where "lefty tripe" was a decent thing

2019-07-13 14:05:04 UTC

50s werent the perfect thing you see on the postcards unfortunatly

2019-07-13 14:11:41 UTC

Back to dating advice, I imagine that learning etiquette is pretty useful

2019-07-13 14:12:28 UTC

Like, which knife and fork to use, and stuff

2019-07-13 14:12:30 UTC

?*

2019-07-13 14:12:57 UTC

Man, first time I went to a dinner like that, I was like a deer in headlights. 😹

2019-07-13 14:13:53 UTC

No I think the biggest thing for me lately has just been remembering to always offer something to whoever is with me before having some for myself

2019-07-13 14:15:24 UTC

I come from an enviroment where everyone just fends for themselves, so it takes some getting used to

2019-07-13 14:15:45 UTC

I think it might be a difference in Western vs Slavic

2019-07-13 14:15:54 UTC

Or maybe just differs by household

2019-07-13 14:19:13 UTC

But usually in etiquette, the rules are there to force you to think of others before yourself. So if you practice it properly, they will have some respect for you.

2019-07-13 14:22:03 UTC

Also going out of your way to introducing yourself to strangers at parties and stuff

2019-07-13 14:27:42 UTC

I can't recall quite how I picked those up.

2019-07-13 14:27:58 UTC

My house is quite firmly working class, so not many of the more nuanced rules were there.

2019-07-13 14:28:20 UTC

But somehow, I'd hear of one from some place or another, and over time drop it into my behaviour.

2019-07-13 15:16:46 UTC

My mother taught me manners and etiquette, it has indeed helped a lot

2019-07-13 15:17:25 UTC

Girls always bring that up when complementing you

2019-07-13 15:17:32 UTC

Not the right ones though lol

2019-07-13 15:17:57 UTC

Why The eksdee

2019-07-13 15:18:06 UTC

Very funny wasn’t it?

2019-07-13 15:18:12 UTC

Oof.

2019-07-13 15:18:16 UTC

Tough crowd.

2019-07-13 15:19:11 UTC

European knife and fork handling is superior to American change my mind.

2019-07-13 15:23:59 UTC

As in the way they use it to eat?

2019-07-13 15:24:25 UTC

Yeah, I don’t get Americans switching the fork every time they want to eat

2019-07-13 15:24:45 UTC

You can use the left hand without issue

2019-07-13 15:25:08 UTC

They do it to artificially bloat their boring conversations.

2019-07-13 15:25:10 UTC

😏

2019-07-13 15:25:38 UTC

It can work with certain foods only

2019-07-13 15:26:10 UTC

But it’s rather complicated to change hands every bite
