He begame and took half his congregation with him

2018-11-19 22:08:05 UTC

I'm trying to understand Patripassianism. Is there an easy way to understand historic teaching on this?

@󠀂 󠀂 Wewlad

2018-11-19 22:08:24 UTC

Half his congregation left w/ him?

2018-11-19 22:08:30 UTC

That's rare...

2018-11-19 22:09:54 UTC

Yeag

2018-11-19 22:10:03 UTC

Half his congregation begame when he begamr

2018-11-19 22:10:26 UTC

He said the Bishop allowed guitar sermons in the beginning when he was first ordained

2018-11-19 22:10:35 UTC

lel

2018-11-19 22:10:52 UTC

Then they did away with it eventually

2018-11-19 22:12:28 UTC

I mean, I'm fine with a guitar if other instruments aren't available, but finding a guitarist to play he style you need for an EO service is going to be super hard...

2018-11-19 22:12:51 UTC

Did they move buildings?

2018-11-19 23:43:56 UTC

In the EO Liturgy, there aren't instruments because the Liturgy is the imitation of the hymns prayed by the cherubins to God. And so the choir is singing to imite them and to participate to the louange.

2018-11-19 23:44:20 UTC

So guitar, orgue, or another instrument are prohibited @Quarantine_Zone

2018-11-19 23:46:16 UTC

Organs are the one instrument I'm okay with during mass tbh

2018-11-19 23:46:30 UTC

A grand piano maybe

2018-11-19 23:46:33 UTC

Keyboards defo no

2018-11-19 23:46:36 UTC

I hate keyboards

2018-11-19 23:46:39 UTC

So much

2018-11-19 23:48:21 UTC

@Quarantine_Zone I believe so

2018-11-19 23:53:06 UTC

I'd prefer no instruments.

2018-11-19 23:54:18 UTC

Duh

2018-11-19 23:54:25 UTC

Liturgical mass is best mass

2018-11-20 00:05:58 UTC

I like the instruments. Helps keep order and pitch.

2018-11-20 00:06:11 UTC

@Constantin le Lamantin didn't know that

@Mozalbete ⳩

>What is the meaning of the forgiveness if a person truly repent his/her sin. Is the Christ crucified for our sins?
>What is meaning of the confession if it exists ? Inb4 Increase/decrease the penance and muh the period for purgatory
>No direct description of Purgatory in the bible

2018-11-20 00:07:41 UTC

I prefer organs or piano if there has to be an instrument

2018-11-20 00:07:49 UTC

The human voice is the best instrument

2018-11-20 00:08:35 UTC

@Βασίλειος Θεοδόσιος what denom are you? Ordo?

2018-11-20 00:08:39 UTC

You have not tag

Converting from presby to Orthodox.
inb4 some people would call covertodox

He asked me about it when I said about purgatory in the filtpitchat

2018-11-20 00:12:52 UTC

What do Orthodox say the purpose of confession is?

2018-11-20 00:14:53 UTC

@Βασίλειος Θεοδόσιος I was born into one of those Korean megachurches

2018-11-20 00:14:54 UTC

Lol

2018-11-20 00:15:13 UTC

Confessions is a path towards forgiveness of sins and at the same time, unbounding the bondage of that sin

2018-11-20 00:15:15 UTC
2018-11-20 00:16:16 UTC

I don't have a proper keyboard and PC screen working to give further detail

2018-11-20 00:19:51 UTC

There is a hudge difference between Orthodox and Romans absolution formulas. @Quarantine_Zone

2018-11-20 00:20:11 UTC

_May our Lord Jesus Christ absolve you; and by His authority I absolve you from every bond of excommunication (suspension) and interdict, so far as my power allows and your needs require. [making the Sign of the Cross:] Thereupon, __I absolve you__ from your sins in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen._

2018-11-20 00:20:16 UTC

Roman one
