I spent some time with the US Navy guys out of Naples. I was assigned as a ... Sort of chaplain I guess.

The commisary back in the day, when the Aussie dollar was worth more than the US.

Weird having whole towns of US personnel and families just in the middle of nowhere. I remember an Admiral or something driving me in and I look to the school sports field and there was a Marching Band. A damn marching band in the middle of Italy. It was like a California subdivision had been magicked into a field.

Thoughts on this guy? Presentation is very "hello fellow kids" but I got sucked into a youtube hole, despite the baity titles he doesn't seem bad at all from what I've seen. Reminds me of the youth pastors I had growing up, but Catholic. Like, I'm well aware it's kinda baby's first Catholicism content, but he seems very prolific

@Kwik_skoper lots of families, auS Navy Officer corp is ~60% Catholic or something. Huge strong presence, lots of kids. Number of my friends are priest chaplains.

To answer your question Australia is getting really heated over this new abortion law in the state of New South Wales. Our most populated, and also most Christian state. Prior to last week, abortions were illegal and shunned. Now it is legal till birth with approval of 2 doctors... and 22 weeks for no reason.

Sparked absolute outrage in Australia. And finally Australian media is drawing attention to Australian social issues rather than the US.

Unfortunately, the only voices that are heard in these issues is from ACL, And the prominent protestant population in that state.
