now with NVIDIA™ Tensor™

Take a look at this graph which shows why you should too purchase your own Turing ™ architecture GPU

@Kimichiboi stay away from my property

2018-08-21 07:20:05 UTC

so watched the keynote again from nvidia

2018-08-21 07:20:46 UTC

it seems that their "realtime" raytracing is indeed "realtime" but quite darn limited (aproximately same what their competitors have been doing and they themselves have done previously)

2018-08-21 07:21:37 UTC

but the twist in it appears to be way more focus on the quite impressive (for me at least) quality noise reduction they do

2018-08-21 07:21:41 UTC

or have pre-rendered

2018-08-21 07:21:50 UTC

they use NN to denoise

2018-08-21 07:21:57 UTC

(im still not totaly conviced that those scenes were live and not just planned theatre

2018-08-21 07:22:08 UTC

and besides all the RTX stuff

2018-08-21 07:22:16 UTC

there's architectural changes too should bring perf increases

2018-08-21 07:22:25 UTC

it can do int and fp ops at the same time

2018-08-21 07:22:36 UTC

pascal can't do that

2018-08-21 07:23:50 UTC

the thing on those demos were that they were helped by ILMxLAB. what makes me quite sure that most of the shit was not "Realtime" but pre-rendered on farms

2018-08-21 07:24:24 UTC

at least the starwars scene what i frame by framed quite heavily

2018-08-21 07:25:29 UTC

i seriously doubt they're going to slap realtime on every bit of promotion material, and then proceed to have it be prerendered

2018-08-21 07:25:47 UTC

also other scenes were too smooth too to be actual user behind them and not coded camera movement what had been smoothed out

2018-08-21 07:25:57 UTC

which scenes

2018-08-21 07:25:59 UTC

the tomb raider?

2018-08-21 07:26:10 UTC

i think so ? the weird party clip specialy

2018-08-21 07:27:26 UTC

but in the end all the their "rtx" bullshit stuff and their anti-market "performance metric reinvented" really brings to table

2018-08-21 07:27:32 UTC

is quite useless eye candy

2018-08-21 07:28:23 UTC

i like how people are completely missing that rtx is completely integrated into vulkan and dx12

2018-08-21 07:28:33 UTC

meaning all the other manufacturers could do it too

2018-08-21 07:28:41 UTC

"completly" we dont know but vulkan support is nice

2018-08-21 07:28:53 UTC

DX12 i could care less tbh

2018-08-21 07:29:47 UTC

they probly lock their upcoming "dx-dicks" to the "rtx series and upwards"

2018-08-21 07:30:41 UTC

im more than happy than companies are using ML/nn for games

2018-08-21 07:30:57 UTC

but im not that happy about how they go speaking lies and AI and other bullshit

2018-08-21 07:32:58 UTC

also what i would have loved to get is other performance metrix too than just their RT demos and "we invented something silly so you cant compare us to competitors due different metrics" stuff

2018-08-21 07:35:09 UTC

also what im not that happy is the upcoming "RTX support, RTX included" adverts/focus on games

2018-08-21 07:35:38 UTC

just anticipating "novidya hairworks" all over again from this

Did they announce new mobile gayman laptop gpus
