You realize how needlessly locked down thinkpads are even compared to shit stuff like consumer acer once you try to modify them

acer is actualy quite good guy when it comes to modifications and right to repair stuff

mini PCIE slots will only run lenovo certified hardware

i have mocked lenovo buyers for years here :P

M.2 slots also only Lenovo certified + any SSD

I've been buying a thinkpad every 3-4 years all my life basically but they lost me with bios whitelists now

but things nerds do for their only touch of nipple

mid 2019 I will try to get my hands on a refurb travel mate instead

I plan on getting a pirate flasher after I get better at my soldering skills, so I can put coreboot on this

I'm now on a W541. Keyboard is ok, it runs Linux and just werks :^)

I use lubuntu on these because I'm a tard
