Basically there's some kind of worm that feeds on the tea leaves and it's saliva is sweet. This gives the tea a very special, slightly sweet flavour
According to them, this kind of worm is exclusive to Taiwan
http://www.gruentee-direkt.de i bought some stuff from here to try. the side looks like early 00s but the tea is nice
I know the owner of https://www.nannuoshan.org/ - if I want something "special", I tend to ask him first because that company is in contact with many distributors and even farmers
the shop is in Berlin
A german niche shop with a functioning website, I'm sold.
@porco you mean on the website? I think they have different ones in the stores
i never tried the new zealand one, but its not affordable for me anyway, so there is nothing to gain for me
and i am ball fascist. my oolong has to be balls and not leaves
i m just trying out what tastes the best for me personally. and i can say I am more the green tea / unroasted kind of tea person. Although I like the black tea / roasted variants too, I generally prefer a more vegetale/plant-y flavour
Yes I agree, but I don't like the too bitter green teas
I like the light ones. Longjing style
The only time I didnt like tea was when I bought cheap shit pu er from the local chink store
i just brewed long jing ☺
Puerh is a meme that was introduced to China to sell overpriced fermented tea to stupid westerners
well, tbh. i only tried oolong and pu er because of dragonball in the first place
so it kinda worked
My Chinese teacher told us stories about how her western exchange student friends let her try puerh because they thought it's fancy and wanted to impress her
But she's sure that noone liked it in that round and everyone was saying how good it is, just to appear fancy

maybe its like wine or coffee, an acquired taste
but you gotta acquire for a long time
I really don't like puerh
maybe you're right
Oh that stuff
I was told it tastes like Earl Grey in worse
Good to know, it's meme. probably wouldn't fit my taste either..
Not necessarily a meme, just go try it. Also Earl Grey tastes very different. I sometimes enjoy the bergamot flavour in black tea. Puerh does not have this kind of citrus note at all. It just tastes... Fermented
Just try it and you'll see. Maybe you will like it
the one time i got puerh and oolong from china it tasted like fish
I hate tea
tastes like dirty dish water at most chinese places
@kaetaa do people say 龍騎士 in China to hint that someone is dating an ugly girl or is it a Taiwan thing?
Computer lab after CNY
my TW friends said that they personally don't hear people say " 龍騎士" but they do hear people calling ugly girls "恐龍"
Yeah never heard of that
I usually call girls green tea bitches
