Sounds good

2018-02-27 12:36:44 UTC

I'm currently on something called white rose

2018-02-27 12:37:03 UTC

Which should be between Mu Tan and yinzehn

2018-02-27 12:37:10 UTC

It's pretty comfy for learning

2018-02-27 12:38:44 UTC

JohnFrum-Senpai wants to tell us not to commit suicide by ChinkTea OD

2018-02-27 12:38:45 UTC

we know

2018-02-27 12:38:46 UTC

sighhh

2018-02-27 12:41:14 UTC

?

2018-02-27 12:41:49 UTC

Thst was a joke, normal tea is probably fine herbal shit is what I'd be worried about.

2018-02-27 12:43:42 UTC

The thing of Gschwendner is that they only have kinds of tea that they can obtain in big masses since they want to keep their offer consistant all over Germany

2018-02-27 12:43:57 UTC

you won't find something obscure there

2018-02-27 12:44:46 UTC

there is this tea + coffee field in Taiwan that has a very unique oolong but they don't export it. We have a box full of it.

2018-02-27 12:47:12 UTC

Basically there's some kind of worm that feeds on the tea leaves and it's saliva is sweet. This gives the tea a very special, slightly sweet flavour

2018-02-27 12:47:28 UTC

According to them, this kind of worm is exclusive to Taiwan

2018-02-27 12:51:08 UTC

http://www.gruentee-direkt.de i bought some stuff from here to try. the side looks like early 00s but the tea is nice

2018-02-27 12:59:19 UTC

I know the owner of https://www.nannuoshan.org/ - if I want something "special", I tend to ask him first because that company is in contact with many distributors and even farmers

2018-02-27 12:59:36 UTC

the shop is in Berlin

2018-02-27 13:06:34 UTC

Also @JHWH Gschwendner has 3 oolongs, did you try all of them?

2018-02-27 13:10:07 UTC

A german niche shop with a functioning website, I'm sold.

2018-02-27 13:20:09 UTC

@porco you mean on the website? I think they have different ones in the stores

2018-02-27 13:20:45 UTC

i never tried the new zealand one, but its not affordable for me anyway, so there is nothing to gain for me

2018-02-27 13:21:44 UTC

and i am ball fascist. my oolong has to be balls and not leaves

2018-02-27 13:22:56 UTC

i m just trying out what tastes the best for me personally. and i can say I am more the green tea / unroasted kind of tea person. Although I like the black tea / roasted variants too, I generally prefer a more vegetale/plant-y flavour

2018-02-27 13:25:20 UTC

@JHWH I never went to the website

2018-02-27 13:25:41 UTC

Yes I agree, but I don't like the too bitter green teas

2018-02-27 13:26:09 UTC

I like the light ones. Longjing style

2018-02-27 13:26:16 UTC

The only time I didnt like tea was when I bought cheap shit pu er from the local chink store

2018-02-27 13:26:31 UTC

i just brewed long jing ☺

2018-02-27 13:26:46 UTC

Puerh is a meme that was introduced to China to sell overpriced fermented tea to stupid westerners

2018-02-27 13:27:28 UTC

well, tbh. i only tried oolong and pu er because of dragonball in the first place

2018-02-27 13:27:30 UTC

so it kinda worked

2018-02-27 13:28:06 UTC

My Chinese teacher told us stories about how her western exchange student friends let her try puerh because they thought it's fancy and wanted to impress her

2018-02-27 13:28:16 UTC

and how she pretended to like it because she didn't want to appear to have bad taste

2018-02-27 13:28:35 UTC

But she's sure that noone liked it in that round and everyone was saying how good it is, just to appear fancy

2018-02-27 13:30:41 UTC

<:thenk:329322130804047872>

2018-02-27 13:31:08 UTC

maybe its like wine or coffee, an acquired taste

2018-02-27 13:31:17 UTC

but you gotta acquire for a long time

2018-02-27 13:32:00 UTC

I really don't like puerh

2018-02-27 13:32:04 UTC

maybe you're right

2018-02-27 13:49:05 UTC

Oh that stuff
