I only look at fanart after I've beaten the game. It feels like a reward this way and makes the fap better. Also it's rare but sometimes even porn has spoilers. Fanarts are great but I prefer fapping as I play to the game. Not literally while playing or taking breaks just to fap, but when I'm done playing and I need to fap later, I'll fap to my own thoughts about the game, what porn situation could've taken place, the characters involved and so on. I like it more this way as it feels more like an adventure with sex rather than fanart or doujins that have no context. Also a lot of series don't get a lot of porn or the porn is fetishes I don't like and often mistreats the characters that I'm liking. Plus since it's my own thoughts I can imagine whatever fetishes appeals more to my taste rather than letting some doujin artists with a rape fetish dictate what I'm fapping to.
If I could draw I could do my own doujins but I don't so it's restricted to my imagination.
