I don't even need to say.
Happy pride month everyone
¿Is it real?
The womens football team won 13-0 against other women. How has that anything to do with how much women should be payed compared to men?
If that was the score against a team of men, I would absolutely agree.
I still wouldn't agree that they should be payed more just for winning. The only money they should get from a win is if there was price-money to be won by winning the game.
Wages would automatically be going up by market forces if indeed a womens team would make themselves more interesting to watch.
depends on the compensation model, many sports use a % of revenue model, which is garbage
so for example in the wnba the complaint is women make less as a % of revenue, however operating expenses also make up a much larger % of revenue as well because revenue as a whole is much smaller. At the same time they are arguing for more money to be spent on advertising and market development which of course would eat into the revenue pie
now if they did % of profit, they would share in the benefit of expense reductions
Operating expenses are often curbed by using facilities that have been build, and been payed, for men's sports.
But I think that is what you were saying anyways.
You don't really need to keep reposting the same things...
When Sacramento Monarchs can even half fill the stadium, then we can talk about raisin pay levels.

You're typically allowed to profit off of open source work so long as what you produce is also open source
If you're following the rules it's 100% above board
The point of FOSS is open, shared functionality
Iirc, I could, under Xonotic's license, go and print a bunch of physical copies and sell them, in theory
There would be no legal action taken against me, because the ability to obtain the game freely has not been infringed
The flip side is that you have something like RHEL, wherein everything outside of their officially supported version (IE the one with their branding and tech support) is up for grabs, which has led to offshoots like CentOS. Conversely, Red Hat pulls from Fedora, which is more community driven (and free)
Is it unethical to use code in a way permitted by the contributor?
