Okay quick question
Is trump #45 or #44
because we had a president counted twice
seems he's officially counted as "45"

Peach Fo-Fi
Apparently Grover Cleveland counts twice.
Which is stupid
What
Nazis are minority now
"UMass Amherst emphatically rejects Nazis, and any other hate group, a view expressed in the students’ sign." Well, the student clearly expressed hatred for a group of people different than her, and if the university is saying they agree with her, that makes them a hate group. So they ‘emphatically reject’ themselves lol
This is the problem with all this Hate speech garbage: hatred is not a good or a bad. It is neutral. The university is saying it is bad to hate Jews, but it is good to hate Nazis. So clearly hatred isn’t the issue.
I always liked Chow.
@Psychlops924 people really ought to be pushing the idea that banning a sign that is a crossed out swastika, they are actually defending Nazis.
I thought that's because they are NAZIs
Merry Christmas all you nazzies
Merry Christmas you filthy animal
Is that Sid Vicious in your avatar?
More "journalist" trying to get credit cards to take blame......
I've never seen an article that looked so much like it belonged on Judge Dredd rather than in reality.
Oof, right in the science!
@RoadtoDawn I love how the article’s conclusion is that the ideological cessation of subscription journals may have actually caused the problem.
Hahaha yea
"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it" --Neil deGraba**
@RoadtoDawn Well. The scientific method at least. That doesn’t mean all studies are inherently true and that our current understanding of physical reality will perpetually be held the same forever. Geez. These ‘skeptics’ treat science like a religion without any form of internal criticism.
Even the scientific method has its issues. Everything requires interpreting, or a structure in which someone uses to interpret something. And even interpreting something presupposes. Naive empiricism, one of the best methodologies we have, has inherent flaws that will never go away
Basically you can sum all that up^ in this statement: you can't justify the scientific method with the scientific method
@RoadtoDawn fair point.
What irks me about the article, is that we don't WANT to think all of these people in these journals take up for each other, and defend one another. Or worse, like the article mentions, don't even check the work of colleagues. But with things like this it's becoming increasingly difficult not to go conspiratorial. They aren't making it easy.
@RoadtoDawn yeah. That’s so true. It is getting much harder to not think that way. Lol. I think the problem is that most people probably think it’s fine and that criticism is akin to being ‘anti-science’. It’s getting to the point where you can compare academia to the pre-reformation Catholic Church.
Oh yeah, it's all in the same crap pot of arguments climate change zealots use. You're a 'denier'
