Actually I can explain this as a category error from “our” side, not Gillette’s

2019-01-15 13:22:33 UTC

"The celebrated new Gillette ad proves even MeToo can be co-opted by the male-dominated capitalist machine"

2019-01-15 13:22:40 UTC

lol

2019-01-15 13:23:01 UTC

Jeez, now that’s an even worse type-error

2019-01-15 13:24:08 UTC

"It devalues the importance of the MeToo movement – making it not a vital campaign for women’s rights to bodily autonomy, but a fashionable slogan they can offer men to make them feel better about themselves. And it takes the stories of women brave enough to speak up about their assaults, harassment and denigration, and exploited them to make more money as a result. This is a shameful indictment of the world we inhabit, which always has, and seemingly always will, put men first."

Look at it this way: most people think Gillette is in the business of selling razors

2019-01-15 13:24:59 UTC

Gillette has actually always been in the business of selling razor BLADES

2019-01-15 13:25:48 UTC

Now they are moving into the business of owning people. Mostly employees, not customers

2019-01-15 13:26:07 UTC

Very feudalistic

2019-01-15 13:27:27 UTC

Gives them enough clout with governments though. Think of it as semi-autonomous nobles vs kings, with peasants as bargaining chips

2019-01-15 16:44:09 UTC

It baffles me that people on the left blame school vouchers and charter schools. I don't think LAUSD even has school vouchers, and charter schools in LAUSD have to take all students and have to be initiated by parents in a failing school.

2019-01-15 16:44:53 UTC

Plus the democrats run all levels of government controlling LAUSD.

Adam Carolla rant Gillette in part 1, about half way through: https://adamcarolla.com/blogs/podcast-archive/funerals-concussions-and-bad-walmart-behavior

2019-01-16 16:00:56 UTC

The only people I’ve heard say “Hold on, this Steve King thing doesn’t make sense”. Which was my initial reaction, and no one else is saying it. It’s the first 15 minutes https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-news-why-it-matters/id1408958605?mt=2#episodeGuid=64bdb6f3-87ec-4f6c-8532-a9d70041698d

2019-01-16 19:08:05 UTC

I quit

2019-01-16 19:08:22 UTC

...

2019-01-16 19:08:38 UTC

Okay

2019-01-16 19:08:40 UTC

Well

2019-01-16 19:08:55 UTC

That’s just, like, your opinion, man

2019-01-16 19:13:51 UTC

Seriously

2019-01-16 19:13:55 UTC

What did anyone expect

2019-01-16 19:18:26 UTC

The UK defence minister expected more

2019-01-16 19:18:36 UTC

Well...

2019-01-16 19:18:58 UTC

they decided that they want women on the front line and in the SAS

2019-01-16 19:19:06 UTC

Ha

2019-01-16 19:19:11 UTC

Well good luck with that

2019-01-16 19:19:41 UTC

The moment one of them gets killed the bad publicity alone will turn them into purely honour guard units

2019-01-16 19:20:35 UTC

I think the reaction to this show might be what it takes

2019-01-16 19:21:14 UTC

It’s the same reason why I don’t think any purely tranny units should ever be formed as some have brought up

2019-01-16 19:21:29 UTC

I also think that she was the only one to volunteer to fight a man

2019-01-16 19:21:46 UTC

Imagine the outrage when they actually get expected to go out and fight and casualties occur

2019-01-16 19:21:58 UTC

Imagine what will happen if one of them gets caught

2019-01-16 19:21:59 UTC

Lmao

2019-01-16 19:23:12 UTC

suicide is "contagious" in normal military units and we all know how prone trannies are to suicide

2019-01-16 19:23:42 UTC

That’s gonna be fun innit

2019-01-16 19:31:40 UTC

women in the army is laughable at the best of times, especially when fighting animals such as ISIS. Lets take a stab in the dark at what is going to happen to the first woman captured and see what that does to overall moral.
