It’s frankly shocking how stupid she is

California is already regulating cow farts. No idea how much they're actually enforcing it, or what the effect has been

2019-02-07 22:28:22 UTC

What‘s your job? - I‘m a CFI. - Cool, what do you do as a CFI? - I stand behind cows and count how often they fart.

This never ends well

2019-02-08 03:51:38 UTC

we've never truly seen German hegemony in Europe

2019-02-08 04:47:59 UTC

....do they want WW3? Because I think this is how we end up with WW3

2019-02-08 05:02:36 UTC

I don't think we have to worry about german/french starting a WW3.

2019-02-08 16:13:09 UTC

You think shadows?
Seems to me every single conflict of note comes from one bunch or another getting grandiose ideas and causing mayhem before eventually going down in flames.
And linguistic and cultural unions only last as long as they have credible external threats.
Consider the MOST successful ones in history, like the Medes and Persians, and some Indian and Chinese federations

2019-02-08 17:35:45 UTC

I mean in the sense of how far the US has pasted everyone else in military power, if a german/french union (they wouldn't do anything tho). We could just destroy them before a world war started (if we wanted).

2019-02-08 18:18:14 UTC

@I Know a Fat Guy read it and look at the comments. There are a couple insane ones.

2019-02-08 18:18:54 UTC

I'll look...I'm thinking of being in favor as long as I can be one of those people who get money cause I can be unwilling to work

2019-02-08 18:20:16 UTC

2019-02-08 18:33:02 UTC

Charging isn’t even a noun

2019-02-08 18:33:07 UTC

🍆

2019-02-08 18:40:11 UTC

This is an insane one. Very crazy.

2019-02-08 18:41:19 UTC

I would’ve liked trump to mention the fact that our carbon emissions have reduced while carbon emissions from many Paris Accord signing nations like China have increased in the past year. But other than that I don’t see why he would comment on climate hysteria

2019-02-08 18:43:56 UTC

@amlam It doesn’t matter because the economy is already de carbonizing. It’s just not happening fast enough for the crazies.

2019-02-08 18:44:26 UTC

It’s not happening at the point of a government gun so they’re upset

2019-02-08 18:46:52 UTC

Well, it sort of is in some states, but it isn’t federal

2019-02-08 18:48:33 UTC

The biggest thing....Even if you grant them everything and US gets to 0 CO2 in 10 years. Their own estimates are that it will have NO significant impact. Thats a lot to gamble for no significant impact

2019-02-08 18:51:34 UTC

Well. That’s not the issue I have. The us electric grid will already become mostly de carbonized by 2030 business as usual. No joke. It’s probably going to be close to 50% renewables by then. Wind and solar are really growing fast.

2019-02-08 18:51:47 UTC

It’s a meaningless proposal.

2019-02-08 18:52:18 UTC

And it pisses me off because they want to pass this and it probably won’t affect things too much.

2019-02-08 18:53:01 UTC

It’s like with the clean power plan. Utterly useless because coal was already uneconomical. Utilities were planning on switching to gas or renewables anyways
