Michelle being MJ is more fulfilling a trope than it is actually making Zendaya Mary Jane.
As for the little mermaid, if it's set in the carribean and they don't use the name Ariel, I've got no problem with the casting choices.
And they will never make the white panther because this only goes in one direction in 2019
I just care that the story is well written and the characters are engaging and believable albeit in a fictional world
and maybe less pandering
Maybe the color spectrum is circular and they will keep going and end up wrapping around to white?
After all, color is just a social construct
KKKolor
I like MCU Spider-Man. I don’t really get all the hate.
@Shadows @DJ_Anuz in response to the white panther thing, the clan that M'baku was free was called the "white gorilla tribe" for obvious reasons the movie left that bit out. speaking canonically, it there's no reason or precedent for a white panther except for triggerREEEEing people obvious. Also there's already a White Tiger who they could defs bring into the MCU eventually maybe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Tiger_(comics)
There are far too many comic book movies for me to give a single fuck about any of them anymore
It helps when they are some of the only hollywood movies you watch
I just don't watch many movies. Saves me a lot of time and a not insignificant amount of extra cash
Very few movies emerge out of the sea of mediocrity and prove themselves worthwhile
I agree
Hollywood doesn’t earn my money
I"m not sure why with all the pandering of inclusion they haven't had more brazenly hispanic characters the way they have brazenly black ones
frankly hispanics have broader appeal because they're actually white.
but hollywood can pretend they're 'people of color'
because they don't consider hispanics american. racist media companies think they are all mexican so they don't fit into any of the typical american roles
you also never see white mexicans depicted, but they exist
the real challenge hollywood needs to face, is how to betray a minority without making everything about race, i enjoyed Mr. Iglesias (the dude is just funny) but what jokes are left that don't involve your people/my people dynamics
*how do you do, fellow kids?*

The longer I stare at that tweet, the more brain cells I can feel dying. It's a strange sensation .
She doubled down too
I like this reply
That last one is ridiculous
Seriously. What’s so bad about Ohio?
Nothing
Well, maybe Joyce Beatty
oof
It’s not California or New York so it’s going to be lambasted baselessly by the culture because we’ve been conditioned to laugh at that sort of non-joke
This is well worth a look; It explains how the Hessians weren't really mercenries, but rather a real and *'legitimate'* army- Largely of draftees.

Funny, I started watching this earlier but didn't finish and now it's here.
The Hessians were Algerians
