"The term "National Socialism" arose out of attempts to create a nationalist redefinition of "socialism", as an alternative to both Marxist international socialism and free market capitalism. "
@Green Syndicalism right
I think conservatives are closer to fascism than nazis
it was also because socialism was all the rage and guiding the current is often easier than fighting it
the difference is meh
nazis are fascists
@Deleted User then what's the difference between a conservative and a facist?
yes but nazis are a sect
eugenic fascism
whereas true conservatives arent ultranationalist or jingoistic
true conservatives dont want authoritarianism
According to who?
true *american* conservatism
i dont know any definition of conservatism which has those traits
this economic free market shit is actually called liberalism/classical liberalism
yeah that's closer to Western Conservatism than American Conservatism
and, as an ideology, these "conservatives" are really just liberal conservatives
^^^^^
who value some of the same things as Western Conservatives
the rule of law, religion, etc
anti change
@Deleted User pretty shallow
also what's your answer to my question?
well conserve?
that ties into the traditionalist lanes in conservatism
so ye
conserving need not be at odds with change
well it is
and has been throughout american history with reactionary backlash in every rights movement
conserving freedom is a constant fight *for* change to the current system
i think in australia, if you measure the amount of bills passed in the house of reps by the conservative party vs the labour party
its not even close
spader why did rights movements have to drag conservatives every single time?
???
