I think we can all agree here that vegans are the worst.
Jay Dyer spanking vegans in a debate... oof I'm not getting any homework done tonight
Vegan Gains is legit a crazy person, not being hyperbolic
I like this guy's hashtag, #eatmeatmakefamilies
yea
Lol.
Playing my trombone now. I still got it. Sort of. Lol. I don’t really have music I can read though.
I was a total chad in high school band:
>never practiced
>played third chair
>favorite songs had the most rest
>thought high notes were overrated because I couldn’t read above the staff.
@ockraz Better Anology: (person 1)There's no proof of a cat in this box. (person 2) Can I check the box? (person 1) No you can't check. (and asking to check is racist). See you have no proof there's a cat in the box. so there no cat in the box.
The same people asserting no voter fraud are the same people saying we can never check for voter fraud (or get voter id laws).
They're actively preventing us from looking for evidence.
So speaking of animus, I've been watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure lately.
That show is a fucking trip.
Anyone watch the anime Hetalia: Axis powers?
Ok I joined a bit late but how about that Crowder open?
@grant I used to until the fandom ruined it for me
Are they that bad? I don't interact with the fandom.
I just thought the show was fun because it was an anime mixed with history/culture.
Yep
It eventually forced the manga to go into full homo territory
I mean the whole running joke was that everything was a homosexual joke between Italy and Germany
But it progressively got worse and worse since the author started interacting with the toxic fandom
I don't like looking at things that way "This thing that might be good (or bad), i can no longer like because of its fans". But it does get annoying how people change what is really being said/done and make it into what they want it to be.
I can understand it. Undertale is that for me.
I can never look at something as: I can never enjoy this because of how other people have ruined it.
Over how good the entertainment is.
@Shadows I mean the open to Crowder. But you boys better get in the waiting room cause this seems like it needs to be resolved over voice then text......
lol nothing needs to be resolved, just people giving opinions.
Well we all have opinions just like assholes lol
But voice over text does give some inflection.
@Shadows no, in Hetalia’s case, the fandom started to actually influence the work, hence it got worse over time
It became less of a political comedy and more fag comedy with a political inflection
Oh no i just meant in general, i've not seen those so i wouldn't know, but ya that's sad if that happened.
But that also just goes back to if the entertainment is good or not. So if it turns into trash (because of the fans or not), its not really worth it.
@grant re: analogy - hmmm... well not to be too anal retentive, but you really shouldn't be asking if there's a cat or not. There IS a cat. You're asking whether the cat is dead. On the larger point, I guess it depends on what you take to be a given...
I was accepting the inability to investigate as a given. After all, Trump appointed Pence to head a commission at the start of 2017- backed by leadership throughout federal government (exec & both chambers) but it was still stymied by state level opposition- despite having 2/3 state houses. It's impossible to create a better environment, ad the commission was dissolved (without doing anything) after a few months.
If it's impossible in theory to measure - then dark matter is a better analogy, because we talk about something we know exists, but we can only indirectly gain knowledge of it when it has a massive impact on something else. if there's a scandal, then we will be able to learn if fraud was a part of it when investigating the scandal - but we can't go out investigating the possibility of fraud without the scandal as a predicate. We're just supposed to assume there's a level of it that exists everywhere, but we can't challenge that the level is significantly more or less than the 'consensus' figure arrived at by academics (who have agendas of their own). That level becomes a baked in assumption which you not only can't directly investigate - but challenging it gets you labeled as a kook for rejecting the expert consensus or for denying science.
BTW, I thought the Dangerous Mugs open was meh until they finally got to the kicker at the end: shut the F--- up Jorge! That was hilarious.
Janeway was a good captain, change my mind
