Cis

2019-01-08 00:52:36 UTC

I mean people get triggered whenever I say I’m all for limiting even legal immigration when I’m brown and an immigrant

2019-01-08 00:52:39 UTC

@Deleted User did you just assume my gender?

2019-01-08 00:52:49 UTC

Yes I did

2019-01-08 00:53:07 UTC

Unless you’re ready to let another dude through your back hole I ain’t bending

2019-01-08 00:53:35 UTC

my back hole has never been penetrated. you would be bending

2019-01-08 00:54:03 UTC

Nah

2019-01-08 00:54:11 UTC

But here’s the thing

2019-01-08 00:54:23 UTC

wow...that was dirty...I think I just offended myself

2019-01-08 00:54:28 UTC

How many “conservatives” do you see on prog shows?

2019-01-08 00:54:43 UTC

Even their so-called right wingers have all been fired at this point

2019-01-08 00:54:57 UTC

Hell even Joe Scarborough’s given up on acting like he is

2019-01-08 00:55:08 UTC

Oh, I know. It's an echo chamber

2019-01-08 00:55:27 UTC

Conversely, while admittedly not many...

2019-01-08 00:55:39 UTC

anything that challenges the echo must be purged

2019-01-08 00:55:46 UTC

I mean even _Fox News_ has fucking Shep Smith, Juan Williams, and Geraldo Rivera

2019-01-08 00:55:56 UTC

They’re not exactly rock ribbed red blooded right wingers

2019-01-08 00:56:19 UTC

Then they go on Twitter and accuse the right of being in an echo chamber

2019-01-08 00:56:28 UTC

I mean in a true libertarian society the borders are peoples property so while theres no borders in a country sense, theres a billion or more small borders

2019-01-08 00:57:06 UTC

I didn't have the heart to tell the poor bastard who descended into name calling me yesterday to watch my videos and see how many times Vox shows up on my screen versus Fox

2019-01-08 01:04:06 UTC

There's no way that guy would of watched any of your videos, unfortunately people who descend into petty insults dont usually go and actually consume media that disagrees with their world view

2019-01-08 01:05:01 UTC

In an ancap society*. A libertarian society can absolutely have national borders

2019-01-08 01:09:37 UTC

It wouldn't be a true libertarian society

2019-01-08 01:10:13 UTC

Open borders is the official libertarian position

2019-01-08 01:13:34 UTC

Wait so what is libertarian supposed to mean, I cant pin down an actual definition from anybody, and I've heard it mainly be used as an umbrella term for Republicans and also from a few reasonable folks

2019-01-08 01:13:48 UTC

"Official libertarianism" is a bunch of subverted bugman hippie nonsense that has no logically consistent philosophy behind it

2019-01-08 01:14:11 UTC

E.g. the libertarian party

2019-01-08 01:14:24 UTC

Does official libertarian refer to the party?

2019-01-08 01:14:53 UTC

isn't it usually disginguished by big 'L' and small 'l'?

2019-01-08 01:15:33 UTC

If I'm remembering correctly the libertarian party is big 'L'

2019-01-08 01:16:11 UTC

Groups of people voluntarily associating in an exclusive manner theoretically doesn't violate the NAP

2019-01-08 01:16:39 UTC

@lesalia It has logical consistent philosophy, it just fails to understand Everything humans are. Making only some of their ideas useful as a whole (but this can be said about most parties, no side is always right).

2019-01-08 01:17:05 UTC

It might have an actual philosophy and I was being excessively snarky sorry

2019-01-08 01:17:11 UTC

heh its cool

2019-01-08 01:19:45 UTC

It is probably bugman hippie nonsense for a lot of people because masses of people don't all have the time or inclination to do philosophy in a perfectly careful way

2019-01-08 01:20:11 UTC

Not that anyone does philosophy perfectly and I'm not sure what that would even mean

2019-01-08 01:22:22 UTC

>Wait so what is libertarian supposed to mean
It doesn't mean the same thing to all people who identify as libertarian

2019-01-08 01:23:09 UTC

Wikipedia says "Libertarianism is a collection of political philosophies and movements that uphold liberty as a core principle" and I guess that's a good enough approximate definition

2019-01-08 01:24:06 UTC

Its hard to say sometimes (like with any group that fragments into many different parts), but they do have to agree with a few principles (i'm just not sure i care enough to look for them and list them heh).

2019-01-08 01:24:35 UTC

Ah ok so that would make sense I always understood it as, people are allowed to do what they want as long as its within the law and doesn't effect someone or their property negatively
