It's the same for PA commercial vehicle bans are in effect on all major highways
I’ll be cool. When this shit happens everyone here has camping gear and shit. We might actually have to eat that crap we all donate to food banks
That's not very much snow to me..... lol
But it is a safety risk when people aren't use to it.
What are you Canadian or something?
Upstate New York baby!
Michigan.
Ah. Same diff then.
heh
I was just in buffalo to deliver beer
Midwest might as well be Siberia
We're supposed to see 6-10 inches tonight.
@Saint are you a trucker?
Yes
Cool
Do you like it?
By Feb. not unusual to have 6-7 feet of snow on the ground. Covers a lot of lawn sins
Yeah I like it a lot so far been all over the country
Nice. I've always thought that was a job I could get into.
I like driving.
It can get tedious having to learn all of the vehicle codes and laws and what not but it's still fun
Yeah half the class I took was actual in class learning and stuff
@uncephalized you still live in AZ
Yeah
Why?
I could put you in touch with eagle KMC they pay for the CDL class
Oh thanks man but I am going my own way. Happy with the path I'm on.
I've just always thought about it as one of those things I might have done if my life had gone a different way 10 years ago.
Appreciate the offer though
Ah I see to bad the industry is hurtin for drivers these days
Are you worried about automated trucks?
In 5-10 years?
They're further off then that trust me
They have to automate more than just the trucks
All the stuff at each end
?
I'm near NY, albeit in Canada
Loads of snow here
Likely the same storm
@uncephalized and everything in between fueling, scales inspections the truck also cant back into spots
Yeah, I keep hearing people talk about the “inevitable” future of driverless cars, and the timetables people give are insanely optimistic. I’m all for increasing driver aids in new cars, but I don’t see complete automation being a regular thing for a long time.
