‘Amazin!’

2019-12-19 16:03:37 UTC

I think Matt did a great job defending freedom from the porno banners

2019-12-19 16:04:03 UTC

Like jesus christ control yourself. Stop asking the state to protect your dick from your hand

2019-12-19 16:05:44 UTC

Of all the stupid ass hills to die on, this porn ban shit is the stupidest one. All it does is reveal that they don't want constitutional values, they want to twist it in order to push values

2019-12-19 16:06:36 UTC

I don't know guys common sense porn laws would solve so much

2019-12-19 16:06:45 UTC

Hahaha

2019-12-19 16:08:08 UTC

I bet were I so motivated I could probably have child porn on my hard drive within a couple of hours of dedicated searching despite its complete prohibition and utter moral condemnation

2019-12-19 16:08:32 UTC

If child porn can’t even be stopped. What chance does a real porn ban have

2019-12-19 16:09:29 UTC

At completely removing it? Zero. At reducing it? Probably possible.

2019-12-19 16:10:03 UTC

Yes, just like banning drugs reduced drug use and banning gambling reduced gambling and banning alcohol reduced alcohol

2019-12-19 16:10:12 UTC

Oh wait, all of those things increased? Weird

2019-12-19 16:10:54 UTC

When I was kid, this was before the internet had images mind you, we youngings depended upon total chads leaving hustler and playbor mags in bushes near playgroubds

2019-12-19 16:11:12 UTC

No joke the best place to find porno was a tree stump near a playground

2019-12-19 16:11:24 UTC

People will always find a way to get what they want.

2019-12-19 16:12:17 UTC

I mean, it's a ban. Super effective.

2019-12-19 16:12:23 UTC

Also half the guys callingg for the porna ban probably just finished wiping their hands off before calling in

2019-12-19 16:12:29 UTC

The word ban is right in the word ban.

2019-12-19 16:12:55 UTC

And the responsibility is not the government's. It's our own.

2019-12-19 16:14:04 UTC

You're also not addressing the issue leading to it. Drug addiction, and really all addiction, isn't because of the availability of the addictive product . It's because of mental issues, problematic home life, depression, feelings of uselessness and a loss of drive and purpose in life. Those are what need to be addressed in society. Repairing the family unit, reinforcing traditional values society wide, etc etc. Those are solutions to the problem

2019-12-19 16:14:38 UTC

So if you're proposing a ban on something, you're already admitting defeat in addressing the real issues and trying to find a lazy and simple way out that simply won't work

2019-12-19 16:16:08 UTC

the whole concept of a porn ban is to scare sheeple in to agreeing to the idea of requiring ID to use the internet, thereby eliminating anonymity on the internet

2019-12-19 16:16:09 UTC

You don’t cure obesity by outlawing size xXXL clothes

2019-12-19 16:16:28 UTC

Or trans fats or fried foods etc

2019-12-19 16:16:31 UTC

Exactly

2019-12-19 16:18:07 UTC

Generally speaking, most conservatives are about individual rights and responsibility, why is this one different?

2019-12-19 16:19:22 UTC

For my own 7 year old son. I fully expect there’s no way he won’t find porn when he’s older but I intend to a. Sit down and talk with him about it (awkwardly) and b. His cell phone spends the night in the parents bedroom

2019-12-19 16:19:37 UTC

When hes off to college hes on his own

2019-12-19 16:19:54 UTC

'Ban porn!' is just a marketing strategy to get people talking about the pros and cons of porn.

2019-12-19 16:28:27 UTC

If the porn ban debate causes ban opponents to realize how much they're actually controlled by porn then it's already working.

2019-12-19 16:34:08 UTC

Agreed, less porn use is better. But an actual ban is a silly waste of time.

2019-12-19 16:34:33 UTC

Adults can choose to better themselves or not. If you have kids, monitor their Internet habits (i.e. be a parent). Problem solved.

2019-12-19 16:35:03 UTC

This is like the whole "ban violent video games" thing from the 90s.

2019-12-19 16:42:16 UTC

Common porn laws lol

2019-12-19 16:42:24 UTC

It's illegal for people under 18 to view it

2019-12-19 16:42:41 UTC

You will never stop 14 year olds from finding it online currently

2019-12-19 16:45:08 UTC

I recall finding it around 11 and that was in the late '90s.

2019-12-19 16:45:18 UTC

Even on dial-up, there was motivation.

2019-12-19 16:49:32 UTC

Cool so I'm going to install a pneumatic tube in your child's bedroom that pushes heroin into the room that they can self administer in whatever dose size or frequency they'd like and if you don't find out about it even though I don't have to get your permission you're a bad parent

2019-12-19 16:49:47 UTC

And if you do find the tube and take it out I can install another one at your child's request without your permission again

2019-12-19 16:50:42 UTC

Imagine thinking that what Kevin Jr wrote is any way a reasonable comparison or has any relevance at all. We are now dumber for having listened to you. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

2019-12-19 16:50:53 UTC

We don't need to stop 14 year-olds as much as we need to execute pornographers.
