Well I don't see why anyone who doesn't have a specific need would get anything but _that_ $3 flashlight, though high quality anything is rarely a bad idea. If you can't figure out why to get a flashlight in the first place you must not have ever gone anywhere on a moonless night or needed to grab / see something in a dark place (in- or outdoors) with your phone battery dead.

Do know that I bought an 3xAA powered one for my grandpa and it took 4 months from goybest. Was probably out of stock even if they claimed it wasn't.

@binslashcat I generally tend to agree with the opinion that brown switches are "dirty reds". the tactile bump is not very noticable, which is either a love or hate thing

I use black and clear switches, for reference, which are my favorites

brown switches will also feel a lot lighter to press compared to blues

the two I can think of off the top of my head within a half hour drive are goodwills

and the ones in the city mainly are clothing/old record thrift stores
