But honestly it really isn't inevitable

2018-06-30 01:42:09 UTC

And Markets themselves can be regulated or even abolished depending on a commune vote

2018-06-30 01:42:43 UTC

How could they be abolished

2018-06-30 01:43:00 UTC

If they were abolished, people would stop providing goods

2018-06-30 01:43:16 UTC

Not really, they would just provide to the commune or keep for themselves

2018-06-30 01:43:40 UTC

Collectivized job sites also kind of form their own commune

2018-06-30 01:43:42 UTC

But that would mean a crucial main source of a good for the commune is now gone

2018-06-30 01:43:49 UTC

Why would they do that

2018-06-30 01:44:00 UTC

Why would who do what?

2018-06-30 01:44:06 UTC

Eliminate markets

2018-06-30 01:44:14 UTC

And other people who are a part of the commune would pick it up

2018-06-30 01:44:24 UTC

and eliminating markets is just meaning the gift economy

2018-06-30 01:44:36 UTC

though it would probably follow from the abolition of currency

2018-06-30 01:45:26 UTC

Why would they pick it up though

2018-06-30 01:45:41 UTC

This particular farmer or farmers were the best in their firld

2018-06-30 01:45:42 UTC

Cause they don't want to starve?

2018-06-30 01:45:43 UTC

Field

2018-06-30 01:45:57 UTC

They made the highest quality food and knew how to farm

2018-06-30 01:46:10 UTC

Eventually the cycle will happen again

2018-06-30 01:46:16 UTC

Another farmer will be the best

2018-06-30 01:46:21 UTC

And they will get frustrated

2018-06-30 01:46:25 UTC

And stop producing

2018-06-30 01:46:33 UTC

Why do they get frustrated?

2018-06-30 01:46:56 UTC

Because they will feel like they are working too hard and not getting a reward they deserve

2018-06-30 01:47:09 UTC

Then they don't have to work that hard

2018-06-30 01:47:25 UTC

If you are making most of the food or the highest quality food then you come to expect some mor respect in your society

2018-06-30 01:47:51 UTC

Then society will give it, but no hierarchy will be created to give power to them

2018-06-30 01:47:55 UTC

Why wouldn’t you want people to work harder this is counter-productive this kind of society discourages technology

2018-06-30 01:48:15 UTC

Progress stops

2018-06-30 01:48:46 UTC

Actually it expands the capacity for innovation by freeing people to fully explore their ideas risk free without fear of starvation for trying

2018-06-30 01:49:25 UTC

But for farming if you don't want to work that hard then dont, tell the commune, a commune-mandated-syndicate will draft a new schedule, and the slack will be picked up elsewhere

2018-06-30 01:50:15 UTC

But the point is, people want to work harder and do the best they possibly can

2018-06-30 01:50:34 UTC

Some people do it better than others, and they want rewards they feel justify their skill

2018-06-30 01:50:42 UTC

If they don’t get that, they will quit

2018-06-30 01:50:46 UTC

Progress stops

2018-06-30 01:51:01 UTC

Society may live on, but progress will not

2018-06-30 01:51:22 UTC

And the cycle will continue until markets spring up

2018-06-30 01:54:36 UTC

I would posit that people who work harder, want to work harder because they take pride in their work and want to se it done to its highest potential. "I work hard and am the best because I enjoy what I do" vs "I work hard and am the best because I want more things". The latter thought makes sense in a system that rewards the behavior like capitalism, but the former is what works in an anarchist federation. Work is not a means to an end, it is an end. Work becomes something you enjoy doing, not something of a chore.

2018-06-30 01:54:53 UTC

Farmers would be people who like farming, coders would be people who like coding, etc.

2018-06-30 01:55:17 UTC

Volunteer-commune positions would be available for specific jobs.
