does anyone know if australia still considering another bout of quantative easing after the attempts of price fixing the electricity industry failed?

2019-12-10 21:57:19 UTC

Australia is pretty fucked - we have had 10+ years of gridlock on climate policy, in large part thanks to the intransigence of the watermelons. As a result we have had almost no large scale investment in energy, hence the fucked electricity market.

2019-12-10 22:33:27 UTC

Imagine being Australia, one of the largest producers of reactor-grade uranium, and having a problem with energy.

2019-12-11 04:09:45 UTC

^This right here

2019-12-11 04:09:54 UTC

It blows my fucking mind.

2019-12-11 04:13:12 UTC

If climate change really is an existential threat, it’s not, but let’s pretend it is, if it was a *certainty* that the goddamn apocalypse is about to happen if we don’t take action *now*... and again, this isn’t the case, but let’s pretend it is.
Nuclear isn’t just a good option for Australia.
It’s the *ONLY* option.

These watermelons expect us to believe that they think the “risk” of nuclear energy is too high to offset the “certainty” of climate change apocalypse.

The “risk” cannot off set the “certainty”.

“Risk” vs “Certainty”

What the fuck, Green Party?
What in the everloving Jesus titty fucking Christ.

2019-12-11 13:17:12 UTC

Remember, the Russian revolution was an accident the first time.
That’s why they had second one.
This shit can turn real fast.
And then it’s not larping.
They *are* socialists.
They *will* kill you.

To be fair as well, renewable power production prices have just about gotten to the point where they are almost cheaper than our coal plants so either way it will work out
