2019-12-03 12:42:57 UTC

2019-12-03 12:43:16 UTC

@Mikey they are

2019-12-03 12:43:16 UTC

Which of those is real

2019-12-03 12:43:16 UTC

*brown*

2019-12-03 12:43:32 UTC

Tvs have enormous input delay in comparison to a monitor

2019-12-03 12:43:46 UTC

^

2019-12-03 12:43:51 UTC

@Mikey not like they used to

2019-12-03 12:44:03 UTC

They still do and it's very noticeable

2019-12-03 12:44:07 UTC

I still use my 50" as a monitor , but i don't play much anymore

2019-12-03 12:44:11 UTC

It’s still maybe 10-40ms at best compared to 1-5ms

2019-12-03 12:44:23 UTC

Go full hd, go full hd everyone said

2019-12-03 12:44:34 UTC

UHD gang

2019-12-03 12:44:38 UTC

and most newer tvs are still well below the 10ms delay anyway

2019-12-03 12:44:39 UTC

Great, now my screen's across the table but I got 15 Hz less than before

2019-12-03 12:44:42 UTC

I prefer my 144hz monitor over my tv

2019-12-03 12:45:01 UTC

1280x1024 @75 Hz master race

2019-12-03 12:45:04 UTC

@Ryoma Nagare do you want me to test that?

2019-12-03 12:45:11 UTC

Yeah 144hz is why you get monitors. Ms delay isn't a problem.

2019-12-03 12:45:21 UTC

3840x2160 @ 60Hz gang

2019-12-03 12:45:22 UTC

sure i guess it depends on model

2019-12-03 12:45:25 UTC

i get pissed off just watching a mouse pointer track in windows on a non 144hz monitor

2019-12-03 12:45:33 UTC

Delay is an issue if you're playing anything that requires good reactions

2019-12-03 12:45:33 UTC

hahaha

2019-12-03 12:45:43 UTC

For anything chilled, delay isn't a problem

2019-12-03 12:45:49 UTC

I have a couple of brand new Sony TVs I can test if you’d like

2019-12-03 12:45:56 UTC

millenial problems i live my life @ 24 fps 😄

2019-12-03 12:46:11 UTC

I play loads of fps, so yeah I need a good 144hz monitor to dab on the kiddies

2019-12-03 12:46:19 UTC

Why do you even need 160hz, your eyes can only see 3fps smh

2019-12-03 12:46:19 UTC

hUmAn eYe CaN oNlY sEe 24 FPS

2019-12-03 12:46:41 UTC

Lel ...

2019-12-03 12:47:02 UTC

@Vander Loonéy I played prey at Max settings on my cheap $150 Westinghouse without delay

2019-12-03 12:47:10 UTC

but its true that games look different than movies

2019-12-03 12:47:31 UTC

2019-12-03 12:47:38 UTC

its all about how one brain's has been trained to perceive motion

2019-12-03 12:47:57 UTC

I see things differently

2019-12-03 12:48:00 UTC

people that game at over 60 fps , don't notice "soap opera effect" when watching movies for example
