Then call me not man.

2019-12-11 15:33:41 UTC

what if i think these governments *should* be toppled, but it is unfeasible 90% of the time

2019-12-11 15:33:47 UTC

i do not believe that you are without sin though

2019-12-11 15:34:04 UTC

For example, the CCP @Kealor

2019-12-11 15:34:07 UTC

why would you want to topple foreign governments

2019-12-11 15:34:15 UTC

ccp should crash and burn

2019-12-11 15:34:24 UTC

that's like going round your next door neighbors house ( who you don't know ) and stopping them from doing X, Y or Z

2019-12-11 15:34:27 UTC

it's known as nosey behaviour

2019-12-11 15:34:45 UTC

because they are bad for trade

2019-12-11 15:34:51 UTC

who cares if they're bad for trade

2019-12-11 15:34:57 UTC

that's their problem

2019-12-11 15:34:58 UTC

me because i want to trade

gib trade lanes browney

2019-12-11 15:35:07 UTC

oh ya i sure you want to buy all that north korean goods

2019-12-11 15:35:30 UTC

@baiyn Yeah, it's kinda like this. Usually when people do that, it's either out of moral principles or for the sake of ecnomic gain. Like messing with your neighbours cause it may lead you to be able to take their car for your own or because you disagree with whatever the neighbours do (whatever it may be, from selling drugs to having garden gnomes)

2019-12-11 15:35:51 UTC

So whether it's good depends on the particular cause of why who is messing with who.

2019-12-11 15:36:03 UTC

also international politics

2019-12-11 15:36:04 UTC

there are principles for a just war

2019-12-11 15:36:12 UTC

set forth by saint thomas aquinas

2019-12-11 15:36:16 UTC

that are perfectly fine

2019-12-11 15:36:26 UTC

could be that toppling one damages relation with an ally in such a way that is not beneficial to you

2019-12-11 15:36:37 UTC

And some people I am sure want to topple governments for reasons along the lines of some of those principles, but not all

2019-12-11 15:36:43 UTC

dont need war to topple a regime

2019-12-11 15:37:12 UTC

fuck i guess ill do what i allways do an put neutral on the ambiguous ones

2019-12-11 15:37:13 UTC

That's why it's really case-by-case thing. Though either way, usually nowadays people mess with the shit of other people because either ideology or profit.

2019-12-11 15:37:25 UTC

my solution to unjust regimes is just nuke the place

2019-12-11 15:37:37 UTC

if they're that unjust it's justified

2019-12-11 15:37:42 UTC

if not then stop trying to interfere

2019-12-11 15:38:00 UTC

No, nuking isn't justified. Huge collateral, you may cripple the regime but not destroy it but you will surely punish many innocents already suffering under the regime

**star ship troopers intensifies **

2019-12-11 15:38:24 UTC

i can think of situations where nuking is justified

2019-12-11 15:38:39 UTC

In some situations, sure, so can I. But not toppling regimes.

2019-12-11 15:38:55 UTC

why not toppling regimes?

2019-12-11 15:39:33 UTC

either the regime is that bad, or it isn't

2019-12-11 15:39:39 UTC

make your mind up

2019-12-11 15:39:43 UTC

Because of the abovementioned reasons. Regimes are usually shitloads of people spread all around the country, among regular citizens. Regime isn't some single figurehead

2019-12-11 15:39:54 UTC

exactly
