On a long enough timeline, everything dies.
Eventually the sun will extinguish and all lfie will cease
You can't exactly prevent that
Like ever
If Humans are still around by then we would have found a way to
Sure, you can embrace that kind of nihilism, but there's not much utility in it.
Tubby Duck... So rather then been an atheist it would be more accurate to call you a satanist? Destroy humanity? A more genocidal statement can not be made.
I do not believe in Satan
looks like the greta patrol has arrived

Tubby Duck we can expand into space and travel to other stars, if we can over come our current crises of foundational belief and prevent civilisation collapsing.
What we should really do is just fulfil Nietzsche's idea of the Ubermench and just have everyone create their own purpose rather then relying on a fake divinely given purpose
Tubby... You don't have to believe in him to have a similar motivation to him. The distruction of humanity, all that might be called good and/ God's creation in it's entirety
Nihilism isn't good because it teaches that there is no morality at all. It encourages evil behavior and thinking. I think we intuitively see there is a morality, that there is good and evil.
Thats like saying I have similar motivations to any fictional character that wants to destroy humanity. Who fucking cares, there's no validity to that statement
The Electric lizard. Accept people have tried and every time they did it became a nightmare. Both the Nazi's (quite openly) and Communists tried to form their own moral systems.
But good and evil aren't defined by any religion, they're just attempts at it
Morals are constructs. If morals are inherent, why do only humans practice them?
They defined what they did as moral
We can do things based on practicality
Because morals benefit the species over trime
Plus Morals are inherit in most people anyway
*time
You don'tneed morality to make any system, that is retarded, you can make systems based on the golden rule, and if you don't think that is possible go and put a fork in a wall socket tell me why you refuse <:PepeLaugh:565528391336329216>
I've done that before
I'm not calling for a new moral system though, I just think people should just be encouraged to decide their own purpose in life instead of relying on a fake divine purpose
I've done that like 20 times
But Christianity doesn't give a fake divine purpose as such
It says that God has a Divine Plan in motion
The most monstrous absurdity of Christianity is Original Sin.
That would imply that everyone already has a pre-set role in the world
It merely concerns itself with how we should live
Also anyone arguing for a moral based system is literally making the SAME argument that lefties make about speech and rights etc <:shrug:349342983763656705>
God's plan is his alone though it's not ours to know and as such doesn't dictate anything upon you
It claims that everyone has a role to fulfil in the world
That role would have been predetermined in God's divine plan
It removes any incentive for people to try and seek out their own purpose
If god is all powerful, then his plan involves everything, even if his plan is only his own
Storin Free speech came out of a philosophical frame work and moral system based in Christian teaching (and no where else)
