Get back to me when a country actually installs a technocracy.
@DrRisen you do realize democracy was once on paper.
If people don't think it's better on paper then why would they install it?
You're too concerned with now. Typical materialist. Bye
@Deleted User Democracy was once on paper, and I would be just as unconfident with it as I would be with technocracy now.
But right now democracy isn’t, and technocracy is.
Technocracy is, at a base level, unproven.
It’s on you and your affiliates to prove it, not me.
And I only didn’t respond because unlike some people *I have a life outside of discord.*
technocracy?
😬
primitivism is the best
@DrRisen the last part wasn't referring to you mot responding. It was referring to how you seem to only care about what is happening now, not what could happen and what has.
@Deleted User I'm absolutely concerned about what has happened. I.E. kulaks getting slaughtered.
I'm not saying technocracy is *bad*, I'm saying it needs to be proven to work in a real life scenario before it has any weight behind it.
Ok then
Technocracy works
Look at China
@Normal Man it's called capital flight
Same thing happened to France
@everyone Daily Question 🔖
- Should the sale of fossil fuel cars eventually be banned or phased out? When should the sale of new fossil fuel cars be banned?
phased out
depends when eventually is
Honestly the sooner the better, air pollution is a major issue
once 70% of cars daily used are non-fossil fuel
then you can go for a full on ban I guess
@Deleted User Name your date, UK wants a ban by 2040
Others by 2030
I'd say 2040 is realistic
also I think it should be a forced buy back not a ban
Should be carbon taxed to hell to such a degree that it's cheaper to go renewable than to pay tax
You guys can easily talk about it but hello, I am Bulgarian, most people here use cars before 2005 because they have no money for newer cars, what is left for the electric ones. How should we travel? By bicycles?
thats why I said buy back
and the point of waiting so long is so that hopefully electric cars will become cheaper and more viable
Thank God we are a capitalist country as capitalism makes you richer
Regular citizens aren't responsible for the majority of climate change effects/pollution. The government and coal companies are the real problems.
Cars need not be banned, they'll be phased out.
@President Sanders📍🇺🇸 another problem
Many countries' industry are responsible for air pollution because of a simple reason
The technology that makes so much carbon emissions is cheaper. You wouldn't start a business in a poor country with expensive technology if you don't have enough money, would you?
I mean cars are a major factor of carbon emissions
