also that vox article is so hilariously biased

2019-01-29 16:28:56 UTC

“vulnerable minorities”

2019-01-29 16:29:01 UTC

did you mean:

2019-01-29 16:29:19 UTC

“illegal immigrants who are committing a crime and should not be in a country illegally”

2019-01-29 17:39:53 UTC

2019-01-29 17:43:17 UTC

@Flat it’s actually not a crime though and it’s pretty well protected under international law. Sovereignty of borders only applies insofar as it is exerted by that nation

2019-01-29 17:46:39 UTC

It’s a crime in Hungary, where the law is being applied

2019-01-29 17:46:53 UTC

ergo it’s a fucking crime

2019-01-29 17:51:36 UTC

Except applying for assylum isn’t and the only thing differentiating a valid refugee and an illegal immigrant is the conclusion of a long, drawn out process

2019-01-29 17:52:17 UTC

The difference between a legal refuge and illegal is the crimes they commit

2019-01-29 17:52:28 UTC

Being...?

2019-01-29 17:52:57 UTC

how about the increase of sexual assault crimes in Western Europe?

2019-01-29 17:53:16 UTC

or maybe the fact that simply stabbing someone is also oh... a crime

2019-01-29 17:54:02 UTC

Right. It’s not the immigration that’s the issue there though is it? It’s probably the rape and the stabbing

2019-01-29 17:54:18 UTC

legal migrants come to country's and wait in line for entry and citizenship meanwhile illegals cross borders and commit crimes on large scales

2019-01-29 17:54:30 UTC

the immigration is the issue immigration is a serious issue

2019-01-29 17:54:46 UTC

moving from one location to another and trying to settle there is migration

2019-01-29 17:55:53 UTC

I agree. I’m all for controlling immigration but Hungary is going to face a world of hurt if it expects to control it when migrants have already entered the country as its party to a lot of strong treaties which govern its behaviour in those areas

2019-01-29 17:56:15 UTC

The tact it should run with is stronger border enforcement

2019-01-29 17:56:31 UTC

Hungry has been one of the strongest nations in europe advocating for border security and national sovereignty

2019-01-29 17:56:48 UTC

the only issues they have been facing is from the dictatorial EU

2019-01-29 17:57:24 UTC

Awesome, Hungary is not a powerful nation in the eu bloc though and it really needs the eu more than the eu needs it

2019-01-29 17:57:50 UTC

It doesnt need to stand alone as a power if it can be apart of a growing coalition of countries which is the case

2019-01-29 17:58:20 UTC

A growing coalition of poor countries

2019-01-29 17:58:33 UTC

the EU has done nothing but erase national borders and place the fate of nations in the hands of elites in Brussels who have their own interests in mind not people in countries across the block

2019-01-29 17:59:17 UTC

these nations actually are very rich Polands economy has been rising over the past years and Italys economy is the fourth largest in the block

2019-01-29 17:59:41 UTC

the only issues these nations have faced are from Brussles and the EU itself

2019-01-29 17:59:54 UTC

Cool. That doesn’t mean Hungary is in a great position to do anything about that. Neither Poland nor Italy is the draw of the eu and we both know this

2019-01-29 18:00:05 UTC

I never stated it was in a great position

2019-01-29 18:00:10 UTC

your assuming my points now

2019-01-29 18:00:32 UTC

I never stated any one country is the focus of the EU either

2019-01-29 18:00:47 UTC

Right so you’d agree it’s between a rock and a hard place here?

2019-01-29 18:01:34 UTC

all i stated was there is a growing coalition of nations in the EU opposing open border polices and advocating for national sovereignty over following orders from a set of unelected elites in Brussels

2019-01-29 18:01:56 UTC

The European Parliament is elected

2019-01-29 18:02:11 UTC

i believe Hungry and all these other nations once had no hope of saving themselves from the flow of migration

2019-01-29 18:02:24 UTC

It’s not an election people pay attention to, but it is elected directly

2019-01-29 18:02:28 UTC

now they have the opportunity to change that entirely

2019-01-29 18:02:52 UTC

well this parliament election is going to be focused on very heavily

2019-01-29 18:02:55 UTC

I think that’s entirely optimistic with little basis in fact

2019-01-29 18:03:00 UTC

this election decides the fate of the entire EU

2019-01-29 18:03:13 UTC

its no bias its simply stating the facts
