ok
why is that your position, why is your position not "well I don't think there is a god but maybe something later on could change my mind"
Heresy, you are an affront to the High Prophets. Remove pfp. @The Big Oof
Because nature is far too imperfect for it to have been intelligently designed, the way I see it, and I don't believe in the Deist version of God, a God that is loftily unconcerned with earthy affairs, because it doesn't make sense not to care about your creation
You have to watch nature more, you just see nature on their flawed state of invasion and intoxication on the city
What does the city have to do with it?
It substitutes their habitat and introduces dynamics that change faster than species can adapt
Well, no
I don't think that has any bearing on my perception
If you don't think ants are based and redpilled you do not know nature
I think the existence of worthless body parts like wisdom teeth, and also some elements of human psychology really hang a lot of things up
Also, you can live without an appendix
Seem more like "leftovers" than intentionally placed there
What is hanging things up?
No dictionary had a good definition to meet your phrase
@The Big Oof I think this was confusion
what happens when you hang a phone up
I believe in evolution
I'm not a Abrahamic Creationist
I didn't say you couldn't believe in evolution
I don't have any faith in a supernatural being really
It's a really weird grammatical flex
I only leave open the possibility and wonder why there is something rather than nothing
Believing in evolution that occurred through a divine process means that those pieces were planned to have been there, and that the process occurred through divine planning/intervention
Are divers omniscient under this theory?
*divine
They're often seen as contradictory positions
One belief set is denied in favor of the other
Evolutions as a creation process seems pointless and not efficient tho.
yeah, which is what i'm leading into
And also, leaving in those extra pieces like wisdom teeth doesn't really make sense and is directly a negative physical trait
I’m gay
my internet cut out
You know, an atheist doesn’t say there is no God, just that there isn’t enough evidence to support that there is a God.
I’m an atheist, and until I get some real good evidence that there is a God, I will remain an atheist.
Sup
@Cheepskipper I don't view humans as logical agents
We're animals, and thus we are driven by animal instincts
People believe all kinds of things without evidence. It is cute to think that we can have a completely consistent rational view of the universe that explains everything but that's silly. We're animals flailing about, fumbling with our convoluted thinking, desperately seeking survival
