2019-09-12 18:40:44 UTC

doei โœŒ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜—

2019-09-12 18:40:47 UTC

lol

2019-09-12 18:41:12 UTC

one important thing iโ€™ve seen from friends โ€œquittingโ€ is that they donโ€™t have a backup job yet

2019-09-12 18:41:29 UTC

like, they havenโ€™t been looking, donโ€™t have any interviews lined up, etc

2019-09-12 18:41:39 UTC

That's... bad lol

2019-09-12 18:41:51 UTC

Man, u people gotta get your game on, dont need a backup job.

2019-09-12 18:41:58 UTC

one dude lost 2 jobs bc his mom kicked him out and now he lives 3 hours away with his dad

2019-09-12 18:41:58 UTC

I found one within a week.

2019-09-12 18:42:12 UTC

he had $20 in his bank by the time he got his new job

2019-09-12 18:42:44 UTC

Your determination means everything when it comes to your job and finding one.

2019-09-12 18:43:01 UTC

stupid ass bought himself a $2K+ jeep before he found a stable job smh

2019-09-12 18:43:31 UTC

iโ€™ve held the same job since i was 17

2019-09-12 18:43:51 UTC

i wouldโ€™ve started working earlier, but i was in cross country and theatre, so i just couldnโ€™t with timing

2019-09-12 18:44:12 UTC

close the store at 10:30, be at school for cc at 5 am, no maโ€™am

2019-09-12 18:44:15 UTC

It determines how you look while working, how you interact with people while working, etc, even more so it determines how dedicated you are to finding a new job, going to places of work asking for a manager to get that first connection.

2019-09-12 18:44:44 UTC

Never taken a personal or a sick day off.

2019-09-12 18:44:45 UTC

if you know youโ€™re gonna quit your current job, you should already be looking for another

2019-09-12 18:44:51 UTC

^

2019-09-12 18:44:55 UTC

daaaamn, thatโ€™s impressive

2019-09-12 18:44:58 UTC

lol

2019-09-12 18:45:09 UTC

I work through it.

2019-09-12 18:45:17 UTC

I don't.

2019-09-12 18:45:19 UTC

the first โ€œpersonalโ€ day i took off was for my auntโ€™s funeral so :/

2019-09-12 18:45:41 UTC

that was after like 2 years of straight work

2019-09-12 18:46:10 UTC

the last coworker i had quit already had a teaching job lined up and confirmed

2019-09-12 18:46:12 UTC

I have one day off a week.

2019-09-12 18:46:13 UTC

Not because I couldn't work thru it, but because if I ever get disabled and can't work anymore the company won't hesitate to can me out. So the question is: should I put myself on the front line for a company that has no loyalty towards me? No.

2019-09-12 18:46:28 UTC

i feel that

2019-09-12 18:46:45 UTC

Not about loyalty, its about making connections. Knowing higher ups of other companies.

2019-09-12 18:46:54 UTC

i lost my momโ€™s car to hurricane flood waters bc work refused to let us out early and the company did jack shit

2019-09-12 18:47:21 UTC

that was harvey, btw

2019-09-12 18:47:33 UTC

I know a lot, one from Coke, one from Pepsi, two from Mission and one from Frito Lay.

2019-09-12 18:47:53 UTC

the good stuff

2019-09-12 18:47:57 UTC

now i want chips

2019-09-12 18:48:23 UTC

i fucken bought chips for myself but i canโ€™t keep them in my room bc bugs, so i kept them in the kitchen and my bitchass siblings ate them

2019-09-12 18:48:46 UTC

i could deadass put my name on my shit and theyโ€™d still take it

2019-09-12 18:50:10 UTC

I know managers, people with their own businesses, contacts thru my dad and college contacts. That still doesn't mean I will give my loyalty to a company that won't cover my ass if something happens to me. Connections are not a bad thing, but I will throw out references from jobs that are toxic or that otherwise don't contribute to my goals.

2019-09-12 18:50:55 UTC

Also lol

2019-09-12 18:51:06 UTC

Keep it on your room on a ziplock bag?
