Anyway technically beta is the letter that inspired the b in the latin alphabet and it has the same pronounciation to it, I'm fairly sure that modern Greek β can be both pronounced as a b and a v. Since originally the greek letter for v was digamma and it was only slowly assimilated into β due to charateristics of the spoken language mutating through time. @ΕΘΝΙΚH ΑΝΤΙΣΤΑΣΗ

2019-09-26 19:10:04 UTC

nope, I can confirm it isn't used as a b

2019-09-26 19:10:09 UTC

since I live here

2019-09-26 19:10:18 UTC

all the shop signs and everywhere uses μπ

2019-09-26 19:10:25 UTC

for direct b's

2019-09-26 19:10:37 UTC

β can sound like a bv hybrid

2019-09-26 19:10:40 UTC

2019-09-26 19:10:45 UTC

mostly still a v tho

2019-09-26 19:10:57 UTC

for example μπαταρια

2019-09-26 19:11:01 UTC

Ah. It's kinda like spanish

2019-09-26 19:11:04 UTC

like I see the sign in shops

2019-09-26 19:11:05 UTC

Makes sense

2019-09-26 19:11:16 UTC

never a β for a b

2019-09-26 19:11:34 UTC

mp together kind of sounds like a b tho

2019-09-26 19:11:38 UTC

closest thing to it

2019-09-26 19:11:40 UTC

so that's why
