Its just odd cyrrilic kek
I'm not familiar with spoken modern Greek, I'm pretty sure β could be often pronounced as v due to the fall of the letter digamma before it
cyrillic is just odd greek for me
also
Lol
I mean cyrillic did come from greek scholars (saint cyrillus and methodius)
so...

Anyway technically beta is the letter that inspired the b in the latin alphabet and it has the same pronounciation to it, I'm fairly sure that modern Greek β can be both pronounced as a b and a v. Since originally the greek letter for v was digamma and it was only slowly assimilated into β due to charateristics of the spoken language mutating through time. @ΕΘΝΙΚH ΑΝΤΙΣΤΑΣΗ
nope, I can confirm it isn't used as a b
since I live here
all the shop signs and everywhere uses μπ
for direct b's
β can sound like a bv hybrid
but that's about it
mostly still a v tho
for example μπαταρια
