He would gain much more support then he would lose, The only real loss would be some Conservative MP's which wouldn't matter too much since he could just stop them from standing again
He could lose some Conservative moderates but he would gain more from the BXP then he would lose
Yeah, but because of electoral math, loosing even a little to labour can be much worse than loosing more to bxp
We just have to wait until they launch their bid or publish their manifesto to see what the Tories would do
The manifesto should be good
We've got a fairly decent cabinet
Tories, "decent cabinet", <:WaitWhatArmy:590858815189024778>
<:powerful:595334910764515338>
So unless Boris drops his deal, no pact is happening
That is the main demand preventing a pact
farage has been very consistent with his demand, he isn't going to change it. that just leaves boris but he has also rebuffed the offer over and over again
seems unlikely
So if the Americans want us to open up the NHS
and we are never going to open up the NHS
Then what happens to this wonderful amazing trade deal that was supposed to make up for all the losses from leaving the EU trade wise
theyre not the EU... theyre not going to turn down a great chance because of one avenue
The NHS argument is just fearmongering
Any party that damaged the NHS in any serious capacity would render itself unelectable in any future election
And yet with every Conservative Government the NHS has not been sold off
All parties use fear
not that I agree with it
But it's not a labour only thing
Also, almost 10% of the NHS doctors are from the EU
So the very act of no dealing
will damage the NHS a lot
It's not a Labour only tactic of course but they have been using this fear of losing the NHS as an electoral tactic for a while
Boris is not going for a No Deal
the difference is that labour usually uses the opposite of what tories say.... whereas tories just use labours own words
He didn't even negotiate a deal
He recycled May's withdrawal agreement
After being forced to negotiate by parliament
Yes but that is not a No Deal
That is a deal
It's a delayed no deal
It's not
a deal
It's a withdrawal agreement
wait... who forced him to negotiate a deal?
