sometimes, i think statistics and psychology should only be taught after one receives a degree of background

2019-11-03 09:48:59 UTC

I really have no idea how they mentally handle it

2019-11-03 09:49:00 UTC

@2 point 2 zero There are funny female comedians, it's just that the humour is unintentional.

2019-11-03 09:49:04 UTC

Crassus was likely in his early 60s when he died.

2019-11-03 09:49:29 UTC

I can do okay in fight but it's just a brawl

Having 10 000 dudes 100 yard away

2019-11-03 09:49:35 UTC

All of whom want to kill you

2019-11-03 09:49:45 UTC

The nerves it takes seems different to modern warfare

2019-11-03 09:49:50 UTC

@ManAnimal Germany thinks only people with at least two degrees in relevant sciences can be politicians

2019-11-03 09:49:53 UTC

That's because you're a pussy, Lancelout

2019-11-03 09:49:57 UTC

Does not help all that much

2019-11-03 09:50:01 UTC

This is why I do tend to find ancient warfare more impressive.

2019-11-03 09:50:19 UTC

Far more men in a single local area than in today, and you had to direct them using nothing more than runners, riders, horns, and flags.

yeah, but that is expected, Ukiso

2019-11-03 09:50:30 UTC

The military genius of historical commanders is incomprehensible.

2019-11-03 09:50:37 UTC

Merkel has several degrees. Still does plenty of flipflop and stupid

2019-11-03 09:50:47 UTC

politics requires people skills, something most science minded academics LACK

2019-11-03 09:50:59 UTC

That gif is too cruel.

They didn't have overhead shots and satellite imagery, or spy planes. They just saw a screen of the enemy front, had to do their best to align their forces in the best match-up, and then actually direct the battle whilst countering the enemy's directives to try and win.

2019-11-03 09:51:35 UTC

I would honestly separate politician "job" into two positions
>> unironic lobbyst
>> oratorial convincer

2019-11-03 09:51:55 UTC

so i am not suprised; that is very different from the notion that anyone looking to intepret or apply statistics be required to first receive the proper background

2019-11-03 09:52:04 UTC

People can mock Crassus for his failure at Carrhae, and there are obviously mistakes he made we can now point out. But hindsight is 20/20.

Hello.

2019-11-03 09:52:09 UTC

One to sway opinions (kinda like an attourney in court)
Other making cogs turn internally

2019-11-03 09:52:11 UTC

That's why Alexander seems so impressive

2019-11-03 09:52:23 UTC

so, prime minister and chancellor?

2019-11-03 09:52:26 UTC

Because that's how it its
Make it official already, and regulate their ethics

2019-11-03 09:52:26 UTC

Exactly. He won every battle he fought.

The ability to repeatedly collapse Persian forces 10 times his size

2019-11-03 09:52:47 UTC

Israeli gookists

2019-11-03 09:52:50 UTC

The man was brilliant.

2019-11-03 09:52:55 UTC

doesn't the current russian system work that way in theory in regards to roles?

2019-11-03 09:53:05 UTC

He did it all from the front as well. Alexander was not the type of commander to sit back and watch.

2019-11-03 09:53:28 UTC

He personally oversaw training of his cavalry

2019-11-03 09:53:31 UTC

Allegedly

2019-11-03 09:53:42 UTC

Although, and all due credit to Alexander's genius goes to him, if it hadn't been for the competence and skill of his sub-commanders he probably wouldn't have done as well.

2019-11-03 09:53:46 UTC

Fun fact: parliament cat was attacking Benjamin Netanyahu and not letting him into the brit Parliament when he was on offcicial visit
