Not an inside job, much worse

2019-10-20 21:55:41 UTC

A cherry pick

2019-10-20 21:55:54 UTC

London terror attack was a cherry pick

2019-10-20 21:56:18 UTC

Gosh all these *cherry picks* all over the place, so annoying

2019-10-20 21:58:26 UTC

Im just saying that I dont generalise countries on the basis of random news articles, if I did that, Id believe the US was currenly a warzone of shootings, racism and poverty, but guess what, it isnt. Both the US and the UK are some of the largest economies on the planet with millions of people in them just living their life.

2019-10-20 21:59:50 UTC

I wouldn't wanna cherry pick, so please tell me if I'm cherry picking

2019-10-20 22:07:37 UTC

concidering that it is a channel about British police MISconduct, yes, it is a cherry pick, because you're using only a certain type of police behaviour to represent the entire british police force. Anyway, I'm not saying that the articles are wrong, I am saying its a cheap shot and does not actually give any usefull information for determining which country is 'better'. But then again, you're completly free to form your opinion on Britain via memes🤷

2019-10-20 22:08:09 UTC

how's your day Brood?😄

2019-10-20 22:09:45 UTC

don't think i need to tell you how easy it would be to make a mashup like that about america and use it to argue the UK is better

2019-10-20 22:11:25 UTC

Britain, the country that had a court case on a man teaching his puppy do the Hitler salute in order to mock Nazis and annoy his girlfriend, rendering him unemployable, and eventually ceasing money from his bank account so they wouldn't have to jail him and completely destroy their optics

2019-10-20 22:11:45 UTC

Just another cherry pick

2019-10-20 22:12:30 UTC

Yeah I can warm up to that country, I should live there

2019-10-20 22:12:53 UTC

Totally not afraid of being in favor of nationalism, capitalism, conservatism, and actually funny jokes

2019-10-20 22:16:09 UTC

Britain, the country that spends more money on ordering the police toarrests people for comments made online, be they in any way harmful or not, and collecting kitchen knives, and so many more things

2019-10-20 22:16:36 UTC

Spends more money on that than solving actual serious crime like pedophile rings

2019-10-20 22:17:04 UTC

<:slurpgon:583424900732157956>

2019-10-20 22:18:13 UTC

Yes, those things are bad

2019-10-20 22:18:23 UTC

but they are but one aspect which Britain needs to rid itself from

2019-10-20 22:19:12 UTC

Yeah like that aspect of the House of Lords that completely undermines the democratic process, making it the least democratic country in the whole of EU

2019-10-20 22:19:26 UTC

It's just one cherry picked aspect though yep

2019-10-20 22:20:19 UTC

Did i say those were cherry picked examples?

2019-10-20 22:20:28 UTC

"but one"

2019-10-20 22:20:51 UTC

The House of Lords barely has any power so it doesn't really undermine Democracy at all

2019-10-20 22:20:58 UTC

Wrong

2019-10-20 22:21:42 UTC

It is

2019-10-20 22:21:51 UTC

Look at the Parliament Acts of 1911 and 1949 for instance

2019-10-20 22:22:59 UTC

Even comedians can disprove your position

@ETBrooD Wonder what would've happened had Dank taken all his money out of the account <:smugon:512048583806025739>

2019-10-20 22:23:43 UTC

The only real power in the house of Lords is that they can delay policy up to three times. The house of commons can over-rule them.

2019-10-20 22:24:23 UTC

@ETBrooD really funny guy Jay Forman, he's also a massive green party supporting socialist. Little bit of a bias

2019-10-20 22:24:35 UTC

Bias does not make him wrong

2019-10-20 22:25:03 UTC

What power does the HOL have that the HOC cannot overrule?

2019-10-20 22:25:55 UTC

I'm already in the process of rewatching the videos so maybe I can answer that in a few minutes

2019-10-20 22:28:29 UTC

That and they're getting depowered even further, hereditary peers have been further cut down and may soon be abolished altogether.

2019-10-20 22:28:58 UTC

Farage wants to abolish the Lords

2019-10-20 22:39:06 UTC

I'm reading the HoL can delay bills for up to 12 months, seems overbearing enough to me

2019-10-20 22:40:11 UTC

They're also unelected and many stick around for life

2019-10-20 22:40:22 UTC

Also completely unacceptable in a proper democracy

2019-10-20 22:40:56 UTC

yeah they should probably be yeeted
