a million barrels a day goes through there

2019-09-18 15:13:48 UTC

What about south Korea?

2019-09-18 15:13:50 UTC

They depose a leader that they disagree with and replace them with a leader who is inevitably worse

2019-09-18 15:13:50 UTC

the whole west would fall apart if ghadaffi went through with his threat

2019-09-18 15:14:01 UTC

that also went ... better than if there was no intervention.

2019-09-18 15:14:22 UTC

Let the country itself deal with it

2019-09-18 15:14:30 UTC

What? How was Pinochet worse than fucking commies?

2019-09-18 15:14:33 UTC

are you high?

2019-09-18 15:14:50 UTC

Like in Venezuala for instance if the people want change they should make the change happen themselves rather then allowing the US to intervene

2019-09-18 15:14:51 UTC

And how is south korea worse than if it was all communist?

2019-09-18 15:15:25 UTC

It might have been better off if we let the North take over

2019-09-18 15:15:25 UTC

2019-09-18 15:15:28 UTC

You are evading my questions. How is Pinochet worse?

2019-09-18 15:15:38 UTC

The North was actually doing quite well until it lost that war

2019-09-18 15:16:13 UTC

Where are you finding all these retards from, 2k? Is there some sort of mailing list of them?

2019-09-18 15:16:22 UTC

It's the principle of it, We should have let the people of Chile depose Pinochet and if they couldn't then so be it, We should not intervene

2019-09-18 15:16:42 UTC

replace "unicorn" with reciprocal trade deal.... and pony with.... er.. well yeah pony that still works

2019-09-18 15:16:43 UTC

FYI Chile has highest GDP per capita in SA

2019-09-18 15:16:49 UTC

@Eccles they are all my alt accounts on twatter

2019-09-18 15:16:56 UTC

That would explain it

2019-09-18 15:16:58 UTC

just self plugging here

2019-09-18 15:17:20 UTC

The US didn't help depose him, you illiterate imbecile, they helped him get into power.

2019-09-18 15:17:47 UTC

and that was the correct thing to do

2019-09-18 15:18:17 UTC

The US just shouldn't intervene just let the countries work everything out themselves

2019-09-18 15:19:11 UTC

You may not care about geopolitics, but geopolitocs cares about your country, and therefore you.

2019-09-18 15:19:11 UTC

>"I know little of history of US interventions, and am generally uninformed on the matter, but trust me, the US just shouldn't do it"
Yeah, sure.

2019-09-18 15:20:11 UTC

I'll admit i don't know much about the Pinochet case but i will still stand by the Principle that the US shouldn't intervene

2019-09-18 15:20:30 UTC

I’m generally against US intervention to depose people, because they generally end up with dictators. However, if the USA was to depose an authoritarian and unpopular leader, I’d be all for it TBH

2019-09-18 15:21:01 UTC

bring back saddam tbh

2019-09-18 15:21:12 UTC

@2K tbh yeah

2019-09-18 15:21:18 UTC

Well, since you seem to be claiming that Korea would be doing better if it was all communist, it's hard to take your principles seriously.

2019-09-18 15:21:21 UTC

He was at least stable

2019-09-18 15:21:27 UTC

Ghadaffi too

2019-09-18 15:21:46 UTC

A lot of the issues with regime change in the modern day have been that we get rid of a dictator who was keeping islamists out of power

2019-09-18 15:21:59 UTC

*WOULD; Freudian slip there

2019-09-18 15:22:04 UTC

@leavethisbotnet I am saying that it could have been because North Korea was actually doing reasonably well before it lost the war

2019-09-18 15:22:17 UTC

Ermm

2019-09-18 15:22:25 UTC

Not so sure about that
