they mainly just tossed higher ups from rival parties in jail after they took power

that's the Wikipedia definition of fascism. how do they not fit that definition. they want to institute policies which could only be achieved through dictatorial power. they have on multiple occasion shown that they are willing to use force to suppress their opponents. They want to regiment society to put white people at the bottom and it's impossible to argue that a communist system does not regiment the economy. ergo they are a fascist organization.
you do realise that fascism and communism are basically two sides of the same coin, it's very easy to blur the lines between the two.
they're largely anarchists, which means they reject dictatorial power and the regimentation of society and the economy, they're not far right (they are far left), they're not nationalists, and every political movement suppresses the opposition to some extent
go far enough left and you end up right, and vice versa
antifa aren't an anarchist movement, they know they could not implement the policies they want without a form of government.
