I'm inclined to agree with your position, @Boop / 브파 / C'thUwU, but I'm not interested in a protracted conflict with Iran. My preference is dropping the bomb on them, or using some other unconventional means of wiping the majority of their population off the map.
Use a proxy to deliver the payload; problem solved.
On the other hand, I'm also attracted to the idea of a public perception aware of U.S. willingness to wipe adversaries off the map.
It'll put the hair in plenty of asses throughout the eastern world.
Many of the OPEC nations would also benefit with greater demand shifting onto their now higher priced resource exports, so I'm sure the Federation wouldn't mind too much.
There again, the U.S. would simply fill the gap with the SPR and further production.

Tweets were deleted within minutes of discovery by 4chan - and reddit's entire site went down for 10-15 minutes in desperation/damage control.
Reddit tweets automatically using a bot, tweeting whatever hits their frontpage.
You can imagine what this bot was tweeting back in 2012, BEFORE pc-culture took over and Reddit started curating what was allowed to trend.
