I’m saying the modern reasoning behind slavery being evil had to be thought of by people in the past and it’s harder to actually think for yourself than it is to just “slavery bad” like we can afford to now. Slavery was an integral part of many societies since ancient times and frankly most people didn’t see it as wrong (especially say in the Roman Empire or mongol empire) because that’s just how it was and it was good for the economy. But in the end with how the world changed it increasingly became more morally wrong and more abusive as people with new ideas came along.
