Science youtuber tries to talk politics: thunderfoot
Politics youtuber tries to talk science: kraut n tea

2019-09-25 05:49:55 UTC

tldr is he made a video about a kickstarter scam, part of that is him making fun of another youtuber who reviewed the product positively. said youtuber filed a false copyright claim. thunderfoot was in the right and threatened legal action to the guy to take down the claim and apologize. guy later takes down the claim and thunderfoot gloats about it but now he insists that the guy do an apology video about it instead of what every other youtuber wouldve done which is to just walk away and forget about the drama

2019-09-25 05:50:54 UTC

I wouldn't of taken down the claim <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2019-09-25 05:50:59 UTC

I would of said bring it on pussy

2019-09-25 05:51:11 UTC

If your at the bottom of the pile the only way is up

2019-09-25 05:51:27 UTC

Filing false claims can get your channel demonetized or banned

2019-09-25 05:51:35 UTC

guy wouldve lost since thunderfoots original video is perfeclty along fair use

2019-09-25 05:51:50 UTC

hes just being a dick about it

2019-09-25 05:52:07 UTC

They would have to prove its false or meets the fair use requirements- youtube literally doesn't care about innocent till proven, its the other way- guilty to proven innocent

2019-09-25 05:52:12 UTC

Like I said, he’s a bell end

2019-09-25 05:52:36 UTC

His science stuff is usually good though.

2019-09-25 05:53:11 UTC

And he’s done a couple of walkthroughs of reactors, which was interesting.

2019-09-25 05:54:45 UTC

And TBH if you look at the DMCA laws even fair use isn't protected anymore at least within the EU (Art 11 and 13), <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2019-09-25 05:55:07 UTC

That got passed and is supposed to be rolled out within the next 12-20 months

2019-09-25 05:55:24 UTC

Its legal mandate so every EU country has to abide by it

2019-09-25 05:55:52 UTC

whats it gonna be for anti brexit youtubers
>get fucked over by EU laws
or just accept brexit and have regular laws

2019-09-25 05:56:35 UTC

Well that's because DMCA doesn't apply outside of the US.

2019-09-25 05:56:36 UTC

I dunno dude, most of us dont care anymore tbh

2019-09-25 05:56:45 UTC

BRexit aint happening

2019-09-25 05:56:54 UTC

>

2019-09-25 05:56:56 UTC

yep it is

2019-09-25 05:57:18 UTC

The powers that be have said so and that is that, the supreme court of the UK literally voted against parliament yesterday

2019-09-25 05:57:27 UTC

Currently set for Halloween this year, even if there's no agreement.

2019-09-25 05:57:29 UTC

Which theoretically means parliament need to be recalled

2019-09-25 05:57:40 UTC

You have missed half of the debate then calbeck

2019-09-25 05:57:45 UTC

The Supreme Court actually noted the Halloween deadline.

2019-09-25 05:57:51 UTC

I read the decision this morning.

2019-09-25 05:57:57 UTC

Since when the fuck could the Supreme Court of the UK declare anything against a democratic referendum

2019-09-25 05:58:03 UTC

They didn't.

2019-09-25 05:58:20 UTC

By oct 31 the PM MUST go to Brussel and ask the EU for an extension or accept whatever deal they offer- this was passed in the house of commons, if he refuses then there is a democratic crisis, the elected leader is "refusing to carry out the will of parliament"

2019-09-25 05:58:32 UTC

It has passed the lords as well

2019-09-25 05:58:44 UTC

They declared that the PM can't advise the Queen to prorogue Parliament, as that's the Privy Council's job... and, incidentally, they also said the Privy Council had so advised the Queen.

2019-09-25 05:58:58 UTC

I personally hope he doesn't, a constitutional crisis would be funny

2019-09-25 05:58:58 UTC

The UK parliament is going to run itself into the ground over this shit

2019-09-25 05:59:00 UTC

Quite the opposite, according to the ruling.
