Consistently
Again where the luddites wrong to fear what would come from this? It lead to the deaths of millions in what machines allowed humans to do.
So actually
And the longer people spout nonsense criticism that can't even be dealt with, the easier it is for people to use technology in real life in ways that are actually harmful
The processing power for AGI is there
I bring you back to the cashless society argument
@UnfilteredGarbage damn but mechagodzilla would be dope
What would a machine that is 10 times smarter then us do with itself?
At any rate, you can be certain the current ideological drives of academia will pollute the application of AI with altruistic tendencies, meaning we're likely to end up wiped out.
Nothing I had said is nonsense and you can fuck off
Demonstrate that there will be in place, before cash is banned, a cashless alternative that cannot be used by governments and corporations to control or limit people's ability to transact
The influence of the creators should be of great concern.
Well, he's argued the criticism as nonsense. Zero point continuing with someone like that.
If you cannot, then fuck off with your criticisms
@Jeremy kek but that's actually a good point, AI programmed deliberately or in error to be pants-on-head retarded is a more realistic danger than anything
Also the brain may be 1 exaflop but the brain deals with more than just intelligence which an AI wouldn’t. An AI with human brain power might be able to be more efficient and easily surpass humans.
Indeed, @UnfilteredGarbage.
It is basically what I would make
Also, Lunemarie is a midget - that is all
Hi
AI won’t become conscious all of a sudden but
The idea there isn’t enough hardware is ludicrous
Realistically there's enough hardware right now. It's just have a memory spanning that of a few seconds.
@lunemarie the brain does not really communicate or process in computer binary, is the issue. To make an AI that would effectively replicate human consciousness, you'd need a system that very accurately emulates the mechanics behind human thought, including the subjectivity and innacuracy of our minds.
Which is
a: hard as hell
B: not really beneficial
Aka a brain in a jar
I mean I guess it can be done but
Why
Computer binary is simple off an on not too different to a nerve.
The idea of binary is just a way to work with offs and ons for logic
Like I said before an AI would not think conceptually in a way that is even comparable to how we do let alone understandable
No, nerves have a different communication system built on aggregate stimuli
Last I heard they were creating experimenting with reproductions of brains at a functional level
That was some years ago
And they also function on a much less efficient chemical circuit, as opposed to an electrical one
I'm guessing you don't have a source on that @Eccles
And also the input senses for the human brain are extremely subjective and flawed
Well, it's bioelectrical
It’s not hard to make inaccuracy or randomness in AI though
^
You can make random noise
