It's also about the entropy of existing social norms. There are certain OLD traditions that need to be broken to accept fags (which is different to tolerate, most places tolerated fags for most of history). And deleting old social institutions willy nilly is foolish. It may not have bad outcomes, but it also may cost us dearly.

I don have a problem with homosexuals at all. I do have a problem with flamboyant fags who assert their cultural hegemony in public displays of indecency that would condemn any other group to ridicule if they engaged in them.
