What is your opinion about Sargons performance here? To me it seems he is really asking leading questions.
For example he went (10:05) "How have you found reaction to your resistance by identity politics because i mean you say.. *blaablaa framing* ... and so rejecting that out of hand i mean, you must be treated like a heretic." This is really bad way to ask anything, you are pushing an answer in the question.
It happened few times there.
His strong point has always been analysis, interviewing and being interviewed not so much. I'm not surprised he made an effort to keep the conversation in his comfort zone, and the point of the interview was more to showcase zuby's views rather than challenge them. So a hostile interview wasn't going to be conducive to that.
My point was not the tone of it, but the method. The question i took for example would have been a LOT better if he skipped the "you must be treated like a heretic" this would have allowed Zuby to answer it in a manner of his choice instead if going down the path Sargon had in mind. It being with the zone of comfort is fine and not really a problem.
Maybe, I think it was still a good interview. But I can see your point. I don't think it was planned though, I'd bet more on it being a bad habit that he probably has in any conversation.
Yes was a good watch, but that is a really bad habit to have if you want to extract information from people, it tilts it just that little bit towards what you want to hear or what you want the interviewee to say.Quite often just these things of small things will lead to bigger ones down the line, and it is really bad visually.
Yes, it would be best to quit the habit. His saving grace atm is that the idealogs on either end of the horseshoe are way more blatant with it and most won't notice him in comparison.
